I'm glad you enjoyed it, I've spent a lot of time trying to think over the layout of the city, and there's a lot of city still to come! And I actually did have an idea to have some crew in some pretty up armored and menacing looking snow plows! (I mean, something like this would look pretty intimidating in a lawless wasteland! https://i.pinimg.com/originals/54/63/81/546381a5171d1d4fbcff33da0ad14cd0.jpg ) So I guess the easy answer yeah, Road Crew snow plows and blowers will definitely be a thing!
I can understand why Night feels off about the place. The phrase “it’s quiet...too quiet” comes to mind.
Another interesting chapter. Sounds like buck is suspecting Night's addiction.
I'm almost surprised they didn't get attacked during their party.
Hmmm... I haven't even finished the chapter yet and I'm getting that vibe between Lando and Han at Cloud City just before Han and friends were betrayed...
EDIT: I was kind of correct. I'm really glad that they weren't betrayed after Lustre and Dozer were approached by Solomon like that. It's good to see that Buck finally knows about Night's painkiller problem. I'm curious to see how Buck confronts Night about it. Also,
I'm really glad that Delilah finally blew the top off of her stress problem.
Thanks for keeping up with writing this awesome story, Gamma Deekay!

Perhaps you think they're being treated unfairly...

Maybe you're right about that.
On another note, I could totally hug you as a show of gratitude for not going the Could City route. It was actually a nice change of pace to see a relatively normal business deal go down that doesn't end in a city or giant construction machine going boom for once, not to mention the drunken party scene.

Yeah, that sort of vibe is what I was going for. I don't know if you've ever been in a similar situation, but I've been in downtown Seattle at 3:30am on a tuesday before. Let me tell you, the streets were nearly dead quiet, and I didn't see another person for blocks. It was probably the most unnerved a city has ever made me. Now, Cantercross isn't so much the same, but in the wasteland, a place that's that peaceful and calm would unnerve anyone I'd think!

As I've told others, I'm glad that I didn't make it too subtle that Buck kinda already know's what's going on. But rest assured that you've connected the dots way before Night has! What I have in store for Night with it is going to be so much fun for him!
