With Twilight providing a place to stay, and magic lessons, life couldn't be better for her.
But this is only the calm before the storm.
A new threat has come out of hiding, one more powerful than the changelings or Sombra.

...ya know she didnt actually put Lapis there...right? Homeworld did... they poofed her after mistaking her as a crystal gem, and then put her in the gem to interrogate her where the crystal gems were.....then they dropped her at the end of the war and stepped on her by accident.
Pearl didnt even know Lapis was sapient in there....

I did not. I don't have much stomach for the show, and only watched up until the last hiatus before this most recent one between seasons. All the same, if this is supposed to be the REAL Pearl of Earth from 'Steven Universe', then my point still stands in that she could stand for a bit of perspective. Things could have been much worse, and she knows that. It's why she stopped attacking in this chapter after all, she's quite aware how little ill intent her 'captor' has.

Reading it again from the beginning, seeing as you have new content. I can understand the whole 'wanting to use him for good' angle she has going on. But really, what's to stop Discord from, theoretically, either turning invisible or just straight up teleporting back to his wacko dimension and then picking them off from afar?
Seriously, just pop back home, sit back, open up a viewing portal (one way, so that the ponies can't see you too) and just cast chaos magic to your hearts content. The ponies have nothing to aim at, so they're screwed. I really hated how Waller thought the heart in the box would keep enchantress in line. That was dumb. What was even dumber is that it actually worked, for a time.
