Minor tweaks need to be made here and there such as word choice and over use of the same word. Also if you're going for a country accent when he compliments scarlet you should make it "Well sweetheart, you ain't bad company either. Matter of fact, I really needed this." Or even change the bad company part to "Well sweetheart, you're not so bad yourself".
And lastly don't be afraid to change things like it has to it's because it overall just has a better flow and sounds more natural.
