The Crazy Night

It was a quiet night in ponyville as the moon shown down into the room of Twilight Sparkle, as she was lost to a world of sleep. The young unicorn tossed and turned in her sleep, until she found another comfortable position and smiled as she snuggled deeper into her warm covers. But as soon as she went into a deep sleep...

"Tap"

The Princess couldn't help but groan as she heard some pony/thing noisily tapping at the window. Twilight grumbled at the noise and only flipped onto her side while trying to ignore the disturbance in favor for some sleep. No such luck since, a few seconds later more tapping continued and the purple unicorn decided to see what was so important to be awoken in the middle of the night. She managed to roll herself out of the warm covers to feel the cold air around her as she yawned and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She looked outside to see a blue jay outside her window, wings flapping quickly to stay airborne, and as twilight tried to figure out what the bird was doing she realized the creature seemed to be trying to tell her something as it was looking not at, but behind twilight.

Curiosity flooded the young pony's mind as she turned around to see what the blue jay was looking at to find another nighttime surprise. Behind her hanging on a nearby closet was a lavender dress, with a matching small skirt with her cutie mark, on the corner of it and some bright pink stars following it like a comet. As twilight brought the dress into the moon's light, the dress seemed to glow brightly in the as it seemed to shine to life. As the princess studied the dress she noticed a small blue note tucked between the dress and skirt. "hmm," the unicorn thought " maybe this will provide some answers to this strange night". The girl then open the note with her magic and read...

"If you want to solve this night
Then put on this dress and head to
Where this dress was given life".

Twilight frowned for a few seconds, thinking over the riddle until she realized where the note was talking about and felt excited to have solved a riddle. So, now full of energy and excitement, the purple girl quickly got out of her blue and white starred pajamas in exchange for the new glittering dress. She then noticed a small bag in the corner of her eye and looked inside to find light pink earrings for her ears and her cutie mark imprinted on a hair clip. The princess then added the items to her hair and ears then looked at herself in the mirror. Using the only light that the moon provided the princess felt happy about the dress which seemed to fit perfectly on her.

Suspicion, filled the lavender ponies mind as a certain fashion-loving pony flashed through her mind and she couldn't help but smirk and twirled around one last time while thinking "Rarity, what are you up to?". So, Twilight quietly left her home to see what awaited her at her next destination.

Meanwhile....

Sunset self for once peacefully, happy that she could come back home with open hooves' and acceptance from what she had done in the human world. The sleepy pony curled up as a good part of a dream was coming when...

"Tap"
"Tap"
"Tap"

Annoyance filled the yellow unicorn as she used her magic to throw a pillow at the "thing" that awoke her. She heard a "thump" as the pillow lightly hit the window as silence once more filled the air. Sunset smiled sleepily as she crawled deeper under covers ready to close her eyes just when the "thing" tapped more rapidly outside. Deciding to see what was going on the young girl uncovered herself as her hair looked like a hornets nest, as she made it to the window. It felt like the girl was still sleeping as she saw a blue jay outside her window while doing spinning in a circle as if to say "turn around, turn around".

Sunset couldn't help but blink tiredly at the bird as she turned around to only gasp softly at her own surprise. On her dresser was a flowing red and yellow dress with a light blue skirt. The dress had her sun cutie mark on the side with sunbeams glowing around it. The surprised unicorn then walked slowly towards the clothing as she couldn't believe her eyes as she touched the soft cloth the was her new look. After trying it on she noticed how her dress seemed to give off a radiance of red/gold as if the clothing was made from the sun itself, while the light blue skirt looked like the sea just like the color of the wearers eyes. As sunset looked at herself in the mirror, the unicorn couldn't help but enjoy the look on her body but then noticed a purple note had fallen out. She carefully picked up the note with her magic making the note open as a Aqua light formed around it. The yellow pony then read...

"If you like your new look
Then head to where a baker cooks
To find what you are searching for".

It took a minute or two for the dressed up pony to figure out the clue but then noticed a blue bag near her closet. Opening it carefully she found two shimmering Aqua blue earrings and a clip resembling her sunlit mark. The mow dressed up pony looked at herself in the mirror and felt confident with her appearance while silently thanking the pony for the beautiful outfit. Deciding that it was apart of her "nighttime surprise" Sunset then quickly headed off to Sugar Cube Corner to find her next clue.

Back with twilight...

Twilight had found the second clue pretty easily since it was hiding under one of Rarity's plastic ponies and read the next clue...

" now that you have found your second clue,
Then head towards a scrumptious place
Where ponies find a country's taste".

The second one didn't seem really hard as Twilight headed through the warm night towards applejacks farm and searched around the now silent farm. She went around the house, through a little of the forest of Apple trees until going into the barn. The purple pony scratched her head with her hoof as she searched in vain for another clue until she spotted a pe ice of paper hidden underneath a block of hay in a secluded corner. The third note was pink this time and had another riddle which read...

"Your searching is almost finished,
To find the last clue head towards the moon
To find a lonely tree in bloom".

Now this one was quite a bit more difficult since twilight didn't remember seeing any lonely trees on the Sweet Acres Farm but decided to follow the instructions given while panting from running to her next place as she felt excitement to see what the notes will lead her to on this strange midnight adventure.

Now to sunset...

Shimmer didn't have to travel far to reach the her friends café which had a note stuffed into a pretty big cupcake which Sunset couldn't help but roll her eyes at "who" was this letter from which she opened while enjoying her sweet late night snack. The note read...

"While enjoying your tasty treat
Head towards a place that's also neat
Where you can pick a tasty fruit day or night."

The unicorn then headed towards the apple farm while finishing off her cupcake which had pink frosting with blue sprinkles and a soft, yellow cake bottom. As she walked towards her next clue the air blew calmly through her vibrant red and yellow mane which sunset enjoyed from the very warm starry night. The yellow pony then arrived to her destination as she saw a orange note stuck to the windmill and quickly opened it which read...

"Your nighttime quest is almost done
But to find your final clue look for a place to rest
Where the moon shines the best".

Sunset traveled through the night as she followed the moon hoping to find this "special tree". The forest was serene in the moons light as big shadows hang off the tree giving off a creepy forest look. The unicorn shivered a little as she suddenly felt a little cold as a light breeze blew at her. As she looked up to see a small hill, there sat a tree and as sunset stared it felt like the leaves on the tree's rose blossom's seemed to shine beautifully in the gentle astral light in the sky.

After losing her footing a few times while climbing the hill sunset sat by the tree and found a rainbow colored note and a long sheet of paper beside it. Knowing this was the final note, the unicorn then opened the final note which read...

"Now that your search has come to an end,
You only have one more thing to attend,
Step away from the shadow of the tree
When you turn around love will be free for thee".

Sunset was confused and felt a warm blush as she imagined twilight being behind her as the girl couldn't help but have fallen for the other girl. She then walked away from the tree and turned around only to gasp at what she saw.

Back to twilight...

Twilight made it to the blossoming tree to find a rainbow note that was held down with a rock. Grinning with excitement, she opened up the note and quietly read...

"Now that you have found all the notes,
Walk away from this tree
And find the surprise for thee"

As Twilight walked out from the shadow of the tree the unicorn couldn't help but blush as she witness the sight before her. There stood Sunset in a beautiful red and orange dress which seemed to shine brightly thanks to the moon. Her eyes looked as if they were shining as bright as any star as her hair glowed in the night. Blushing the element of friendship stepped a few feet closer to the other pony until she was only a few feet away and said "wow, you look, well... Beautiful". Sunset couldn't help but blush at the comment as she took in Twilights look.

The unicorn was wearing a sparkling purple dress which shine brightly in the night time and her eyes seemed to shine brightly like a star in the sky as her pretty mane flowed in the wind. "Well, you look beautiful to". Sunset replied as she looked away from the princess feeling embarrassed at what she said. It took a few minutes of awkwardness till the orange unicorn felt brave enough to tell her crush her true feelings. So, taking a deep breath she caught Twilights attention with "twilight". The pony then looked her in the eyes and Sunset couldn't help but be entranced by her purple eyes and then regained her thought while saying "ever since I have been reformed from the monster that I became, I have found that from learning about friendship from you, and the others that I have found peace, acceptance and love from the same ponies that I had hated".

The Princess then nodded in understanding as Sunset continued "but when I was able to return to Equestria and was accepted here, I have found more feelings then just understanding and acceptance". The orange pony then blushed as she concluded " I have found that after everything that has happened, that I have fallen hopelessly in love with you, Twilight because of your loving smile, your wonderful voice, your loving friendship to me makes me think that, you just seem perfect to me and that I say with full knowledge that I love you, Twilight Sparkle". Twilight seemed frozen as her mind digested the words said to her and Sunset felt cold with fear of her crush turning her down but saw her smile as she said "I have seen you come a long way from when I first met you and I think you are a beautiful, smart and loving pony that I have hopelessly fallen in love with you from your gorgeous eyes, your beautiful mane and now that I have seen you in this crazy night that I can confirm that I love you to, Sunset Shimmer." Sunset couldn't help but smile brightly as she leaned in to kiss her lover and as their lips meet the world disappeared as the two ponies were lost in love. Little did the two lovers know that five other ponies were smiling as they watched the two kiss under the moonlight.

"Oh isn't that sweet, I knew that our plan would work", Rarity stated as she looked to her side at the other ponies. "Yea, it worked great, but can we go now this lovey dovey stuff is making me feel queasy", Rainbow stated as she make a grossed out face at the romantic scene in front of the group. The others only glared at the winged Pegasus as she was running the loving moment the group had secretly put together. "Well, I think it is wonderful at how we were able to bring two ponies together" Applejack stated as the others nodded in agreement. Pinkie's eye's seemed to glow in excitement as she said rather loudly "oh, oh I can make a "finally together" party for them tomorrow to celebrate"!

The other ponies then shushed her from her loud outburst but were relived that the other two ponies were to busy to notice. "Well, I better get back to the cottage because I feel rather sleepy and have a picnic with the animals tomorrow". Fluttershy said almost two quietly as she turned to head back to her home. The other friends then followed the yellow ponies as they traveled back to there homes, happy to have helped there friends say there feelings.

Back on top of the hill....

The two lovers then broke their kiss for air as they shared a loving look. Sunset then nuzzled Twilight affectionately as she stated "I love you Twilight". The princess blushed brightly at the affection but then returned the action as she said warmly "I love you to Sunset". The two young ponies then leaned in for another loving moonlit kiss.

Well I love Sunlight, but I need to say you need a editor ASAP. Also I need to ask why the cover art is your OC? If you need some coverart for that you can find one around Derpibooru, because OC's made in the Pony Creator isn't really the best of cover arts. Here a example for it:

Urgh. This description is awful.

Twilight and Sunset are sent around ponyville with strange riddles leading them someplace

This gets worse the more I read it. "Leading them someplace" is so lazy. Describe why i should give a shit about riddles , where they came from or why I should care where they are going.
