Fire Upon Strings

Thirteen: Wandering... (Unedited(Sorry for the short chapter))

It's the second day we've been searching for Dinky... I've decided to use this journal Twilight bought me a few days ago to keep a record of what has happened...

Rainbow dash flew over my head, looking left and right.

She may be lazy and arrogant but there's a reason she's the element of loyalty.

"No sign of her up here..." Rainbow says, flying down.

"She's a unicorn Dash." I deadpan.

"Oh... right." Rainbow smiled sheepishly and we continued to walk.

"So, Do you think we'll run into Thanatos again?" Dash asks.

"If we're lucky. He's only found when he wants to be found. There's a reason he won nearly every game of Hide and Seek we played as kids." I laugh.

Rainbow laughs along for a while then the air turns cold again.

We've been walking for a while now and no sign of Dinky, or any that she came this way.

"Hm?" Rainbow suddenly shot up her head, looking at something shining on a rock.

"What's that?" I ask.

I walk over and pick it up. It a locket. I open it up and take a look inside. It's a picture of a girl and some old man.

"Huh..." I mutter.

To those who hear my voice, I am Silver. If you hear this and are in trouble or if you want to talk to some one. Wish and you shall receive.

I close my fist and smile slightly.

"So a token..." I mutter.

I turn around and show Dash.

"It's just a locket. Must belong to somepony in a nearby town." I say.

"There's no towns nearby this area of the Everfree. Either that pony is long gone or dead." Rainbow says, a grim look on her face.

"Oh." I mutter, playing along.

I pocket the Locket token and we begin our trek again, Only to stop at a dead end with a cave.

"Well, Guess we go through?" I ask.

Rainbow shrugs.

"Welp, let's take our chances, make mistakes and- WOAH!" I shout, feeling my leg get grabbed.

"Orpheus!" Rainbow shouts.

I look at what grabbed me and... Oh god... IT'S A GIANT FUCKING LIZARD WITH MULTIPLE HEADS! Or y'know... a Hydra...

"GET IT AWAY!" I shout, desperately trying to break loose.

"Hiiiyaaa!" I hear Rainbow shout.

I hear the Hydra shout in pain and release me.

"GET THE FUCKING REPTILE AWAY!" I shout.

... Not my fault I have a fear of Reptiles.

"Are you serious?!" I hear RD shout.

"NOT MY FUCKING FAULT I HAVE A FEAR OF REPTILES!" I shout, backing away as far as I can.

Rainbow sighs and a second later I see the ground rushing below me.

"You would have been so dead." She mutters.

I calm myself down.

"Still not my fault."

Rainbow groans and lands.

"You. Are an idiot." Rainbow says, walking in the other direction.

"Hey!" I shout, running after her.

We've been walking for quite a while, still no sign of where Discord left Dinky. Knowing him, she could be in Tartarus for all we know. By that I mean pony Tartarus.

"We should stop for the night."

Rainbow yawns in return.

I look up. The moon was clearly out. That means the Dark Hour would be here in a matter of hours. I've still gotta test if RD can experience the Dark Hour not influenced by Discord.

I reach up and bend down a few of the branches above us, making a makeshift roof.

"It'll be better than nothing." I tell her once I see her expression.

She was annoyed for a while after that.

The bright green moon illuminates the changed environment. Red pools of Blood stained the ground, vines grew red thorns and many had ponies skulls hanging from them.

"Eugh." I mutter.

I shake it off and look at RD. She's still sound asleep, but not in a Coffin.

"My hunch was right... Shadows can't come out of the tower... unlike special occasions in the game.." I mutter.

I yawn and pull out the locket. I take a look at the girl and the old man.

"I wonder which one of them is the displaced person. Maybe both of them. Well, I'll be having an interesting day tomorrow." I mutter, putting the locket back.

I lean back against a tree trunk and yawn. I pull out a small book.

"Welp, I have a purpose for this now." I mutter.

I pull out an enchanted quill from the side of the book. I open up the book to the first page and begin to write.

That is how my second day ended, and my first day of writing this stuff down. Tomorrow will be... interesting to say the least. Silver, whoever you are, I look forward to meeting you.

Author's Note:

This short chapter was just thrown together quickly, but I will make up for it with a longer crossover chapter. Good deal?

I'm still keeping the Mane six tag, even though it's just RD right now, because they still took up a majority of the front of this story.

This is all being set up for a crossover with The Fire in my Heart, Which will also be the last crossover of the arc. I am a big Blue exorcist fan and I thought it would be interesting to see a Anime/game (Yes, Persona 3 did get a movie/anime. Two actually. Look them up. The third I can't find so I dunno if it's out or not yet in japan or something.) Displaced meet another Anime Displaced. The Fire in my Heart is written by Nightblade64. Go give him/her a big high five!

If we get to 50 likes on this story by the time the next Arc comes out I'll make a Q&A for with Jake, Adrian, Dinky (Maybe Messiah will pop in now and then) and a new character that will be showing up in the new arc.
