Forewarning note: Presently rated "Teen" for possible language boundaries. May end up going into Mature for later chapters.

Prizmat De Cadenza. Mi Amore's twin brother. Compared to her, he was always punished. Compared to her, he was always pushed away. Compared to her, he was always angry. Compared to her, he couldn't use magic...it would always spiral out of control into disaster.

Overshadowed by her early realization as the Princess of Love, Prizmat seemed like a figure doomed to the path that Sombra himself was thought to have taken. Mi Amore, however, constantly tries to convince her brother that the both of them were nothing like the monster that history whispers about.

One day, however, he begins to search for the reasons behind his anger. And a name keeps surfacing. A name that Celestia has taught Equestria to fear. In a confrontation of personal ideals, can Prizmat survive the ire of the Princess of the Sun?

I must admit... This is interesting.

This isactually pretty well written, but there's a few problems with it. Namely, the books say Cadance was a Pegasus before becoming an alicorn. And her name is Mi Amore Cadenza, not Mi Amore with the family name of Cadenza.

Speaking of names, a ton of the names in this story aren't pony names. They feel like D&D reject names, which makes me wonder if part of this wa original fantasy repurposed to pony. Nothing wrong with that, it just requires a lot more effort.

Looks interesting, though I get a bit confused sometimes figuring out who talks and when. It could be a bit more spelled out. For example:

"What kept you?"

"Oh, the pictures." Shining Armor blushed.

Shining Armor blushed as he said "Oh, the pictures."? Obviously not, but having one character's dialogue and then instantly jumping to other character's action without any indication does that.

5173437 I didn't know that there were any books. How old are they?

As far as names go....that's probably a terrible weakness of mine. :facehoof: It's like the person who makes Dr. McNinja said one time in his alt-texts for "Why a Gorilla?": making up fantasy names is hard.

Layering that into making up pony names? Probably a lot harder for me at present.

Also, a good few (not all) of the names/characters I've used have come from the IDW comics, which is perhaps another reason why this is is presently tagged AL/AU.

I must sound like I'm copping excuses, but I have it stuck in my head for just long enough that I have to get it out before it's gone.

5173536 Ah, that is a blunder. I have that placed in the wrong spot.

Not sure, i only know of their existence.

And yes, pony names are hard.
