Another portal opened up inside of a forest somewhere, and Fighter and Black Mage were thrown out of it haphazardly and landed square on their faces. As soon as they were both out, the portal disappeared as instantaneously as it appeared, leaving the whole area silent.

Several minutes went by with the two of them just lying face down in the dirt. They were so still that there was no indication that they were even still alive or not. Time seemed to move at a snail’s pace. The entire forested area was completely silent.

“I taste mud.” Fighter finally spoke.

“Shut up,” Black Mage responded.

This short chapter was definitely not a desperate attempt from me to try and fill an empty space.

You know, I was about to wonder why most of this wasn't one big chapter, but then it hit me: The comic is a few panels that usually have little to no plot progress happening in the first place. So about six short chapters "doing sweet FA" is entirely accurate. XD
