Hope springs forth eternily. As long as there hope, there's a way.
So this is where the DLCs will be!
Woohoo sequel! I gotta admit, I never got quite used to how ruthless Celestia is in this universe, but no biggie. Onto the next chapter I go!
Well, not much to say about this chapter since it is a prologue. It was written well, as most of your work is. The modified Canterlot Wedding made a lot more sense than the show's did. I can tell that the Royal Guard aren't incompetent. Luna has adjusted well back to life in Equestria, but you still made moments of sentimentality believable. Great start, Ed. Decapitation/10.
So we know that Sarah has at least done Anchorage and is finishing The Pit now.
The Perforator, Jingwei's Shocksword, and Hell-Fire armour I know, but what's that last weapon she's carrying?
4551924 Probably Luna's sword from the last story.
Your time dilation factor is really... off quite a bit. But hey, onward.
YES!
Sequel time! I gotta say I like how this started out, good work man, legit.
SECOND CHAPTER HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

SECOND CHAPTER HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Well damn, doesn't that little bit of information put that episode in a whole new light. Great call on that. ;)
Dang, I was hoping to see the Changelings get a second chance at peace since I would expect Celestia and Luna would be sick of fighting after the events of Luna's return... guess not.
Oh now this Celestia is imesureably more powerful then the one in the show to the point they cant even be compared. The only enemy in canon who was shown to have bested her in combat cast down WITH EASE just makes me wonder why bother reading any more, after all only enemies you make yourself would have even the slightest chance against her, and any fight involving her will not even be interesting to read because the power scale has already gone full retard. It pains me drop this story half way through the first chapter after loving the first one, but god damn that just sucked any amounts of interest I had in this story out of the window.
4565273 Eh, this is the same powered Celestia that's simply more competent and wise.
Huh, totally missed this! Great, now we have to play catch up!;)
4556827 Hey, they're practically benevolent second mothers to their ponys...
And bloodthirsty malevolent monsters to their enemies.
Seriously, you just saw Celestia force Chrysalis to watch ALL her children get flame broiled. The fertilizer part is just the hilarious salt in the wound.
4556827 Why?
This was way better, changlings finally get treated they way they should always have been treated.
Shame about Chrysalis though...
Changlings always gets a pass in fanon, seriously disgusting.
It's like what happened to the Windigos gets overlooked again and again.
And seeing as Windigos got burned alive the changlings meeting the same fate, is more in line with show canon, then the usual waambulance stuff the fandom does with changlings.
This chapter brings up the question "Well, why didn't Luna just do that in the show and uncover the Changeling plot right away?" Which would normally be bugging me for a good while, but the reason why struck me relatively quickly, and it's brilliant if that's what you had in mind.
In this fic, Luna was greeted as a hero upon her return. She is beloved and honored by the average pony.
In the show, these events took place only a short time (a few months at most) after her Nightmare Night appearance, which seemed to be her first big public appearance since getting zapped by the Orbital Friendship Cannon.
So, between the two, the Wandering Moon version would be the one who would feel the most comfortable approaching the dreams of her subjects. Perhaps the canon version was still too nervous to do so. A successful Nightmare Night in a rural town is one thing, and definitely helped both her confidence and her image, but is still a small thing against the entire population of Equestria. It wasn't until season three that this ability of hers was shown to be used, and it definitely wasn't public knowledge at the time, so in the show, that was probably around the time that she started 'dipping her hoof back in the water', so to speak.
The pitt always left an unsavoury taste in my mouth. However, I always come to ashur's defence in arguements.
4565273 I always associated what happened in canon to be a case of The Worf effect. I can't believe that Celestia is actually that weak, considering just how old and powerful we know she is.
Wow. Was not expecting the murder of thousands upon thousands of changelings I shall continue to read regardless.
6587792 i was considering we've gone off the rails by like 3000 miles
Sadly, Nim probably just g ave me the best analysis of dealing with things in 'The Pit' in the best possible way....which is amazing cause morally both choices suck so hard I swear I had a Warhead candy.
MY HIVEMATES, NOOOOOO!
THEY DID NOT DESERVE SUCH A FATE!
8087722
That's gotta suck, dude... can't a drone feel what happens to other drones of the same specialty through the hivemind? I just... eugh, I shudder at the thought...
Okay I promised my friend I would not kill Celestia unless Luna allowed it but for killing Chrysalis? Death. Painfully so. Promise be danmed!
so author gonna skipped the confrontation with tirek.....
this is stupidity. tirek has shown to change his approach from cannon. why not chysalis?
and shouldn't changlings starve to death long before? equestria here is more militaristic than cannon. infiltrators should have harder time in these past thousand years.
and what's about discord's escapement? i'd liked to see how this super competent celestia dealt with him using half-crippled element of harmony.
please show how it was done.
*reunion between sarah/nim and luna begins around chapter 14
this story has significantly quality dropped from first one
villians in fallout are interesting. maybe because their past story. maybe it's their unique design.
and luna being magically crippled really add to tension. quipping also fun.
none of that in this sequel.
villian with past story as shallow as mlp cannon. acts as stupid as cannon.
randomly come to pick fights with protagonist out of nowhere...
uniqueness and flexibility of fallout storyline really help carried the first book.....
