It's a fine story, I've just never been much for the "Ponies in space." Even modernized ponies was a stretch for me when I read Fallout Equestria but details. I fell like you could have gone a bit more in-depth with just how long Equestria had been a space-faring nation, also why are they in space? Is it just to spread friendship and other random feel-good stuff or it is because of more serious issues like over population, ect, and so forth.

it was good, but there are some writing things that you need to learn.
The story felt... rushed. The time scale felt strangely distorted and the pace of the story was a bit too fast.
You shouldn't be concerned about grinding out updates.
