So, this is my first time writing fiction of any sort in years. I expect to be rough around the edges if not just plain bad.
I am plainly going to ask for constructive criticism of any sort. Don't worry, I can take it. 
Although if you like it feel free to stroke my ego all you want. 
This is actually kinda neat... Why does it have an alt unvierse tag, I wonder? Will we find out later on?

I wasn't sure whether or not this story would apply, since its an origin type story and I don't know if those count. 
If it doesn't then i will remove it, but I was mostly unsure and erred on the side of caution.
I was really iffy about that tag to be honest.
On the plus side, kinda neat is a lot better reaction then I was expecting. A 1st person origin story from the pov of an oc? I figured it was going to be doomed. Certainly going to continue it though, the creative juices are flowing and I'm having fun with it.

the label of Alternate universe is going to be the bane of all historical fics.
what are we supposed to call events that are supposed to match canon continuity but are not truly canon?
is this what sets them apart from other fics?
