I made the decision to only replace certain characters, Soarin seemed a good fit because his age is ambiguous. I can make him as old as I need him to be and he already had a connection to Rainbow in the show, albeit very slim. Most other characters are going to retain their names from the original, since the world Rainbow is being thrown in is supposed to be foreign from her own. I figured, why create a whole new set of names she won't recognize, when they're already there to begin with?
Hmm Rainbow dash as Tidus, as much as I think that Tidus is a bit annoying, I don't disagree with your choice but uhh who's gonna be Yuna?
