Introduction
I am completely aware that no argument I make here is likely to be supported by canon. The Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters is in its origin a playset (which is the Doylist reason why it has the prank trapdoors), and the production team is hardly composed of demographers or historians. Nor would I expect it to be, for a children's show.
I published Chapter 31 "A Parley Before Battle" of Fools and Drunks. I understand it's not showing in the feed, so I just unpublished and republished it (it's okay, as there were no comments on it anyway yet). It was originally meant to be a novelette to novella with a short flashback in the middle; and has now become a novel with a novella-length flashback in the middle.
