…I'm on hiatus, obviously.

I haven't been motivated to write fanfiction lately. I feel like it's a habit I need to break out of, and that if I attempt it again, I will find it difficult to write original stories for months. I have no idea if that's true, but it's hard to shake that feeling.

And having my magnum opus be about Obama and ponies finally got to me. I realized that probably put me on a list somewhere, and it was a pretty embarrassing list to boot.

Act I of Obama Returns is now done. There may be some pacing issues, but for the moment, I'm going to leave them be.

Because it's at this point that shit gets real.

I've been holding this back for a while, but if there's any time to reveal it, it's now.

Okay, so I missed the last Sunday of the month by a bit. Mainly because I, er, forgot what the deadline I set for myself was. I thought it was the last day of the month. :|

No new chapters this time, but I did do some fairly extensive edits on the existing chapters of Obama Returns, to try to make it a little less awful for new readers to get into. Most notable updates:

No chapter this week. The next update could potentially end Act I, so I want to make sure the next new chapter is actually good, since I haven't been happy with how the chapters have been turning out lately. I think I miiight just be beginning to get over my writer's block. We'll see.

But I'm not sure I'll do the weekly updates again for a while. :|

The second chapter of the Scootaloo arc is out.

…so yeah. I realized some people might depend on blog posts to know when chapters are out. Do new chapters actually show up in the normal little globe thingy notifications area? I don't know. I've never actually favorited a story that's continued updating. But I know blog posts do. :|

Also, it forces all of my 101(!?) followers to know when I release new chapters, whether they like the Obamaverse or not. :p

I swear I was not high when I wrote that chapter. Sleep deprived maybe, but not high.

I'm kind of sick, and I'm going on a week long trip, so there won't be any new chapters this week or the week after. I might try to make up for it by releasing two chapters when I get back.

Applejack arc pretty close to finished, by the way.

New chapter is out. I've been waiting to give Celestia a moment of absolute depravity, one that would propel her character from dark comedy to just dark. I think, in this chapter, I might have succeeded.

I love how as soon as I say the story's not a trollfic, it gets added to the "Trollfic" and "Badfic Bin" groups. I mean, god, is it that awful? :(

Rough draft is completely done. It will likely be ready for release (or really close to release, at least) by next Sunday. It's pretty pivotal to the plot of the series, so I want to get it right, but on the other hand, I'm beginning to lose some of my motivation. Maybe it will come back later.
