No, seriously. I did learn things, a lot of them.

Wow! It's finally done!
I finished writing a 108,000 word novel. After the better part of a year, I can say that. I finished writing a novel!
I'll be on the road again starting shortly, from Illinois back to Seattle.
I expect to be driving for at least part and maybe all of Saturday, so once again like a couple weeks ago, that means I may miss the Saturday update of Ghost Lights. I'll have it up as soon as I'm able, though. There's only two chapters left! Hang in there, everyone, we're almost done. :)
About to go offline to start driving. See you all later.
The first thing I want to say is... wow! What a project! It's been going for almost nine months and over 93,000 words so far. I thought I'd be done about 20,000 words ago, but there were... things... and places explore. More about that in a minute. For now, I'll just say it's been an amazing experience. If you told me a year ago I'd have written a 90,000 word (and more) novel by now, I'd have said not a chance. Everything I write is way shorter than that. Obviously that's not true anymore,
Yes, like its predecessor Seashell, Ghost Lights is now...
The new ribbon design looks pretty good, too.
As before, this is an enormous thrill and a huge honor. Big thanks to the folks at Twilight's Library for choosing it, and, of course, to all my readers for your support and feedback.
You may have noticed that there's a new chapter posted every Saturday. I'm pretty sure that's the pace I'll be sticking to. I was hoping to possibly move the timetable forward to one chapter on Saturdays and one on a weekday (probably Wednesday), which is what I did with Seashell since I know people hate to wait. I don't think that's going to work for Ghost Lights, unfortunately. It's still being written, and although I have a bunch of chapters buffered up, my courseload at school is

So this is what the co-star of Ghost Lights looks like, brought to you by mostly Photoshop and a little bit of Paint Tool SAI.
