Hey, everyone. It's been a while, huh? I've been so inactive that there's dust all over my profile picture. I don't have much of an excuse except, "Life happened." Between slogging through other writing assignments, getting pulled into new Steam games like Starbound and Fallout 4 (What age am I living in?), and even going through the death of my conure, who I had for less than two months, I just fell out of Sparkyll and Hyde.

I know I disappeared for a little bit, but considering the holidays and wanting to catch up on some other stuff, I just wanted to take a break from writing about murder-crazed horses. Technically, I'm still taking a break. Christmas is chaos, after all. But Sparkyll and Hyde will resume in the new year, once I'm refreshed and ready to write again.

You finally get to buy some amazing games you've been dying to play for Celestia-knows-how-long (Undertale, Abzu, and Fallout 3 for me) at low prices . . . only to realize that if you play them now, you'll never get your work done, so you force yourself not to play any of them until the current chapter of your work is finished.

I need to be honest here with what's been going on. Just between my old computer dying and waiting two weeks to get a new one, branching out onto Deviantart, and getting sick the last week, I've had to take a hiatus from S&H.

Yeah, yeah, I write too slowly, I don't update fast enough. Trust me, I know. It sucks for me, too. But between personal family worries, thinking through other story ideas I have, and just trying to move past some writer's/inspiration block, I've just been losing steam.

Okay, I cut it a little close with the deadline, but who cares! Chapter Nine is done and off to proofreaders! I'll be releasing it sometime tonight.
