Paradox Ending · 7:09am Jan 20th, 2017

Paradox Scholar is the very first story I really worked hard on and helped me improve my writing bit by bit. The ending to the story was left in a very ambiguous way due to my thoughts on the future of the story itself. The thought came to me as I looked at the statistics of the story. Not a lot of people actually read it and I get that it was because of it having a lot of editing errors. I'm not particularly mad about that or disappointed at all due to it being the story I used to improve

Edits and Apologies · 1:14am Jun 9th, 2016

First I want to say I'm super sorry for letting Paradox Scholar in the dark for so long despite being one of the first stories I started. I am finishing the edits as quick as I can and posting the finished work just as quickly. If there are any mistakes I might have missed let me know and I'll correct them.

So Paradox Scholar is on hiatus until further notice. I do have chapters written and stuff planned, but the problem is that I keep hitting walls with the way I began the story. The whole thing is in 1st person, and I have realized that I basically suck at that kind of POV. I decided to rewrite the story in 3rd person which is a whole lot easier for me. I didn't want this to happen in the beginning, but to be honest with myself about settings goals that might be too much for such a new writer.

Alright, so this is mainly for anyone that actually wants to know. I am trying as hard as I can to keep the story going and I am writing whenever possible as to keep up with the schedule I put myself on in order to keep it up. However, I am seriously struggling with action scenes for this story. I have the combat down as to how I want it but, I have no experience in writing such scenes so I'm doing research by reading different fics and books. Of course, by doing this, time is taken up by

Right, I know most don't actually read these things so I'm not sure how effective this will be but, I gotta ask if anyone is interested in giving tips for writing to a newcomer. I'm mainly interested in action scenes and description writing, by that I mean how one would start and how the author gets the appearance of a person or setting without being extremely convoluted or wordy.

So with the Ch.2 out and available for people to read I have to say that I'm having trouble with what is coming next. I have the basic plot and storyline the only thing that is causing me distress is the combat. The combat in the story will be unique, to say the least (or I at least like to think it will be) so I'm trying to flesh out the details. I have several notes on the combat jotted down and keep rewriting severals parts of it and taking out what will and will not be in the story. I just

Gotta sate that writing bug. · 2:28am Feb 21st, 2016

To be honest, I tried several times to write out a story like Paradox Scholar. I had submitted two stories before it and they were both terrible once I read them again. Hopefully, now that I actually have time to research a lot more and write at a steady pace I can pump out something worth reading. I'm still learning and jotting down notes upon notes for this story every day so feedback would be a blessing. The only real thing I want with any story (which I think any author wants) is to
