Hello, robot fans! Knowing the gorgeous, tasteful people you are, I have two things that might be of interest to you...
Hey folks! Despite that ominous title, I'm here to let y'all know that I think the metaphorical "bumps" are behind me, and I should be able to get some more stuff out soon. Including the most recent thing I've previewed, which I cannot give a release date for yet, but I believe will be ready before the end of the year. At least, that's the hope. (Also, thank you so much for all the enthusiasm about it. I hope it's
Well, soon-ish...
First chapter is up! Enjoy!
Quick note here: "Passing Familiarity" will premier this afternoon. Just so you all know, it will be serialized, because I know many people get intimidated when they have a lot to read at once. But, as a compromise, I'll be putting chapter 1 out today and chapter 2 out tomorrow. More will follow next week. I know a few of you would rather read the whole shebang, but based on experience, I think this is the best way to go. I really hope you all will enjoy it.
Fellow author Nailah interviews fellow authors through character roleplay. This time she interviewed me, roleplaying as Turing Test! (Details below!)
Happy New Year! For my first post of 2021, I've got something special: the music that inspired (or was referenced by) The Iron Horse: Everything's Better With Robots! Check below the break for over two hours of auditory, robot-friendly bliss!
Well, it wouldn't be 2020 without a little chaos, now would it? Long story made short: the special comes out tomorrow instead. I just need to do some editing and re-writes. Not totally happy with it and y'all deserve something that's worth the wait.
Merry Christmas/Happy Hearth's Warming, everyone! Just one more day until...
I created a detailed timeline of stories from The Iron Horse canon a while back, but for easy reference, here's a list of stories to read from the canon storyline:
Main Canonical Storyline:
Art, as usual, by my longtime pal and illustrator, Colby “Greenfinger” Green. Commissioned in tribute to Grant Imahara, the character Umahara is based on.
Take care, folks, and see you again soon.
For those of you who haven't heard, Grant Imahara of Mythbusters fame passed away on Monday. He was someone I admired as a robot enthusiast and he inspired the Iron Horse character Umahara. Mr. Imahara was 49.
So, at Bronycon I finally met the guy who basically convinced me to turn The Iron Horse into a legit complex story and briefly edited it (and also did a panel with me, but I'll find that video later). We hung out, drank beer, and he sang this song from "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog."
One more nice acquisition: a sketch from Andy Price, illustrator of the comic series, of Gadget! I described her as a "cute mad scientist girl" and he ran with it beautifully! And threw in a Young Frankenstein reference to boot!
Note: Sale has ended, but mugs/stickers are still available!

Hey folks! The Porter Robinson show I mentioned in my last post was great, and yes, of course... he did Turing Test's unofficial theme song "Sad Machine."
