Obviously, this isn't anywhere near the finished product. I'd hoped to finish it today, but I'll do so tomorrow, and hopefully have enough time to redo the original Flight Camp's cover art so Whimper's appearance is updated for any new audience.
Okay, I'm writing the first version of this on the 22nd of June, the day after I had a talk with my family, which was right after I got some news, been editing it as I go along over the course of a few weeks, up to now. Those of you not interested in personal stuff or non-pony stuff, here's the short version:
Well, I'm not a great Inkscape artist yet, but tracing is getting easier. Here's a little summary of what I've been working on for y'all:
The Pride of the Apple Family versus the Kid in Alicorn Armour.
Hard hooves and sharp teeth against the lost art and magic of the Red Thread.
Apple Bloom versus Hammer.

I was supposed to look for motivation to continue writing, but I drew something with Inkscape instead. It's basically my first time using this program to draw anything, and since I draw something like once in a year, I'm somewhat pleased with the result. 
So I made some minor edits to A Very Cranky Hearth's Warming and re-did its cover art. Gotta love Inkscape and DeviantArt for enabling non-artistic types like myself to have decent looking covers on the cheap!
While trying to figure out what to do with the chapter 9, I continued drawing an old picture of mine. I'm kind of practicing how to draw with Inkscape. This is what I have got so far.
I decided to try and draw myself a new profile picture. As you can see, it's not ready yet. (Updated, but still not ready... I think)
So, there it is. Any thoughts? Except that his mane looks exactly like RD's mane. It was not intentional, I swear. 
Eyes are so hard to draw, same with manes. Tails too. All I can actually draw is the basic shapes and poses that I look up from google and mimic them.
