Last weekend was another pathetic faux-Halloween. Children were allowed to trick-or-treat from 4-6 PM, to make sure none of them were out after dark, or even in twilight. I didn't even buy candy this year; I just pulled the still-nearly-full bowl of candy from last Halloween out from an end-table drawer.
