I wish I could focus more on No More Ponies and Equestrylvania, but for the past few months, in addition to the storyline fuckup and the subsequent burnout it caused me, I've been up to my nipples in work. Stage performance turned out to be much more demanding than I anticipated, and so, I'm quitting my burger-flipping job to focus more on it.

So I've actually gotten some PMs here about my opinion on the new Castlevania series on Netflix. Allow me to answer them here.

I've binged on it once, waited a day, then binged again -- easy to do since there are only four episodes so far. I think I have absorbed and digested it enough to form a cohesive, precise decision and opinion on it.

My opinion?

...I don't like it.

It was a mistake to throw those into the Equestrylvania Adventures companion book.

So from now on, I'll just leave them in the author's notes as short clippings (just like the Castlevania games themselves). Now to go back and edit all the earlier chapters to reflect this.

Let me get something out of the way.

I said in my previous blog, I didn't like this show. And I don't. But I don't hate it either. I don't look at it as an embarrassing stain on Castlevania, like Lords of Shadow or Legends or, most hideously, Equestrylvania. I look at it more as an interesting experiment.

Equestrylvania's time is over. I am so done with it.

I have learned that the biggest mistake anyone can make when writing a story is making the damn thing too big. I've pressured myself into writing and writing and writing, but the story meanders and spreads and never attains the overall goal of its plot, which was to simply kick Dracula out of Equestria.

So yes, it's over, I'm done with Equestrylvania.
