Okay, I know I'm not British, but as I'm a history nut, I thought I'd share a fascinating piece of UK history with you all. But first, the famous rhyme.
Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes and his companions
Remember, remember the fifth of November:
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason, why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
Okay, so American readers won't understand the significance of the fifth of November. But here in the UK, it's bigger than Halloween. In the area I live, it's bigger than Easter and New Year. Arguably bigger even than Christmas.
Not a Brit, but I always found the idea of Bonfire Nite interesting, so I like to at least acknowledge it on the day of.
Anyway, not too much to really report on my end. Writing has become a bit staggered lately (due to lack of motivation as a result of recent reader turnout), but I am going to try to get SOMETHING more substantial done by the end of the year. Maybe I'll actually start the "Elements" sequel? I dunno, really...
With the exciting, following cast:
Twilight Sparkle as Ayame "The Blue in the Snow Field" Kajou!
Spike as Tanukichi Okuma!
