So I got something of an alarming E-mail tonight. Apparently Hasbro Studios, LLC just blocked the video I made for Elements of Insanity with the lyrics of Twilight's song in chapter-1 set to the tune of Sherclop Pones Pinkie's Brew. Not just some automated claim either, but a manual one, meaning ostensibly some real person looked at my video and decided to get rid of it.
Watch this video and then go to the webpage. Or both at the same time. WE HAVE UNTIL APRIL 1st people! NO THIS IS NOT AN EARLY APRIL FOOLS JOKE!
Well, I'm sure if you've all been paying attention to YouTube lately, there's been a few cases (and by few, I mean the flood gates have opened) where some content creators have had issues with copyright claims. However, these copyright claims often go against the fair use policies. I'm not bringing this up because I'm a victim, but rather, I have a fear of becoming one. Because these issues are not restricted to those who monetize their videos. I once did get a strike on one of my channels. But
I may not have a Youtube channel, but most of my entertainment comes from very talented people who create all sorts of amazing content.
These people are being threatened by the abuse of a broken system. They are asking, and so am I, Where's the Fair Use? #WTFU
All he wanted for Christmas was a silent night... Note: All "ghost" pieces were written and executed by the performers (BTW, special thanks to all those who were involved).
Five forgotten holiday albums that will...more than likely remain forgotten.
