When I first heard that the newest generation of My Little Pony was gathering an adult fan base, I presumed that it would be because the show had some kind of edgy self awareness to it - that it would deliver the sort of sardonic humor that pushed the boundaries of children's television back in the 90's and early 00's.
I gave pony a shot thinking I might end up liking it somewhat ironically.
I was so busy this weekend that I barely made time to watch the newest episodes, much less work on my fimfics.
You have been warned!
Well, it's been Season seasons and we've only heard his name mentioned before, and the staff is really pulling at strings, but man, am I excited for Starswirl the bearded to come into the show.
Also the shadow pony is the villain for this and there is a limbo world where the other pillars of Equestria will be restored.
I will provide a video link for more.
I'm just gonna get this out of the way... this is not an easy episode to review. Once again, this is yet another episode that is hard to review because of how it's written.
This episode is quite amazing, insightful actually. Whether or not fans agree with what the episode has to say, remains to be seen, but if they were to act in the same way the fans of the journal did here... then there may be more truth to the episode's portrayal of fandoms in general than we realize.
Okay, so, I just saw the Season 7 finale, since I completely avoided all spoilers and awaited the Hasbro release today. I'm gonna come out and say it, the Season 7 finale is my favorite finale of them all so far!
Warning: Spoilers for those who haven't watched this episode early. You have been warned.
When I first heard about this episode, I was excited to see what possibilities were in store for Fluttershy. Her dream of opening an animal sanctuary; surely this will be a highlight for season 7, right?
Scootaloo: Ya know, some ponies would dream of having parents like that.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, right! Name one!
Scootaloo: [sighs] Me. Growing up, I never thought I'd be the best at anything, because nopony ever told me. But your parents told you over and over again.
And the award for the most depressing character in MLP is: Scootaloo!!!

I have to be honest guys, this is one of the hardest episodes to give my general thoughts on. Especially since the latter parts of the story had me questioning who was truly in the wrong here: Prince Rutherford for not allowing help from outsiders out of pride and letting his people suffer in the process, or Pinkie Pie for wanting to intervene and suggest help to a culture that is hardy and has survived for ages (presumably), only to then get help anyway without permission and take care of the
So here's the deal. I wasn't sure what to expect when coming into this season. Maybe it'd be good. Maybe not so much. Which direction would the show take? But, after watching it...
(Yes, that was a thing that happened)
Check below if you want to know my thoughts. Very minor, if any spoilers.
