Her redemption: it was quick, yes, but for the most logical reasons. The PRINCESS OF FRIENDSHIP ASKED HER TO BE FRIENDS. Her entire motivation for enforcing equality was so that she would never have to face a bad friendship like with Sunburst! That's like if Chrysalis was offered total rulership of and love from the Crystal Empire on the condition that she doesn't ever try to take love from Equestria! No duh Starlight reformed! So I saw the three new Equestria Girl episodes. Dance Magic and Movie Magic were great. Mirror Magic however...wasn't.
The prospect of Sunset returning to Equestria, interactions between the Humane 7 and Starlight, the magical mirror itself, and the reappearance of Juniper Montage were all utterly squandered on yet another "Starlight Glimmer saves the day" plot.

Hello there. Here is part two of my reviews of the new season. This time Twilight and the gang go on a "friendship retreat" to Manehatten and Starlight and Trixie stay behind to teach Trixie new magic. I enjoy the Trixie episodes mostly because she is such a complete foil to Twilight that I can't help but find her fun. My thoughts on the episode below.

Nothing overtly wrong with it but it just seemed to tread the same path as the premier wherein Twilight tries to control everything, fails, and learns a lesson of her having to be more like Celestia and to step back a bit.
