Ninety is a nice, round number, and the nineties were a rather nice decade.
In this set, I started reading GaP Jaxie’s The Third Wheel, a series of five AU fics set in the same world, plus I read a smattering of other stories.
Today’s stories:
The Land of the Dead by GaPJaxie
The Third Wheel by GaPJaxie
Courtesans by GaPJaxie
The Trixie Clause by TCC56
The Sum of Our Parts by Aquaman
I rewatched "Molt Down" today to finally do my afterthoughts on the episode, and I discovered an interesting connection to something we've seen in another episode. If you think back to "Princess Spike" in Season 5, you will (if you weren't busy complaining about another Spike episode) probably remember these:
It’s fifteen miles from Rennie Island to the Pacific as the pegasus flies. Even for a pegasus who prefers hopping trains to flying, that’s not far. Sweetsong’s journey is nearly at an end.
So, in this episode, there's something that intrigues me and got me thinking the most, but I'll come to that later. First, the obvious elephant dragon in the room..... Sludge. Spike's dad, or, at least what he wanted to make Spike believe he is.
From riding in the cab of a DPU to accidentally boarding a local train that’s picking up grain cars at each elevator it passes . . . at least it’s picking up; if it was dropping off, Sweetsong might find herself stranded in the middle of Big Sky Country.
So yeah, BronyCon tomorrow, which is very yay (such pony, much yay), but we have to sit through the flight now, which is not so yay. And we were supposed to take off at nine twenty, but we were delayed and we haven't even boarded yet which also isn't yay.
Edit: OH WAIT
WE BOARDED
THANK YOU FINALLY HALLELUJAH TIS A CHANNUKAH MIRACLE
Edit 2: OKAY TAKING OFF IN LIKE TWO MINUTES I'LL SEE YOU GUYS IN LIKE THREE HOURS OR SOMETHING BYEEEEEE
