So remember when I said it would take me a week? Turned out I meant to say a month as the moment I came back, a lot of shit needed to be change while I began working. But during my week month away, I managed to get time to watch the premier of the final season... And my oh my, the stuff they did with Sombra.
I was just rewatching The Great Mouse Detective and got a thought, what would crossover with it MLP be like, Fluttershy would obviously one of the focal characters due to her ability to understand and speak with animals. I would like to see a story like that, I haven't seen a story of that nature. But that got me thinking, why are some crossovers not done? Being lesser known is a rather obvious, and rather poor, excuse. I like to think the more obscure stuff through a partial lens of
BE WARNED, SPOILERS AHEAD
Hello readers! I’m going to start this post with a bit of a disclaimer. Two, actually.
WARNING: There be spoilers (at least for Smolder's story)
"I'm not looking for pity. I'm trying to make a point. Girls like us can't rely on anyone, can't get attached to anyone. You just set yourself up to get hurt down the line when they're gone.
"’Cuz they're always gone, in the end."
Magica Ex Dolori
Chapter Eight
Hope you're all having a good 2017 so far. Anyway, I don't want to beat around the bush. Let's get straight to the point. I wanted to discuss with you all a decision that's been floating around in my head for quite some time now. And it's a decision that I'm 99% sure that I'm going to make. It's a hard decision. A painful one. Something that I've feared about for years and pondered about for the past couple months. It's a decision to break a promise I made back when I cancelled "The Doctor
So, the following blog post is, at least partially based on the writings of others. Primarily, I recommend you peruse SoloBrony’s (unfortunately incomplete) writing on art under ADPA. I must also acknowledge that GhostofHeraclitus wrote a blogpost that has a similar theme in addressing the same problem. I recommend that, after you read this, you follow
I mean that sentence in every way. I didn't found a single Fallout Equestria side-story that included Cheese Sandwich, Flash Sentry, or Soarin as any kinds of characters. Even if they'd only be mentioned, or seen in flashbacks or memory orbs, that would have been enough for me. But if I'm wrong, and there IS a side-story with them, by all means share it with me.
I once learned that a movie is written three times: first during development, second during production, and third during editing. Though A Haunting in Canterlot isn't a film, it has been revised, edited, and rewritten many times. In this post, I will talk about some of the early outlines, characters, and everything in between.
Since Rainbow Rocks we've been hearing the rumors of Equestria Academy, and then Legends of Everfree. The former didn't pan out, we'll see for the latter. After Friendship Games, I feel like the movies can end. They did three, two of them were very good, the third movie had a lot of thematic parallels to the first. The third movie feels like a good way to cap it as a trilogy.
My feed has been LOUSY with spoilers for the second half of Season Five, mostly from the SDCC panel.
If you're doing that, cut it out.
Here's how NOT to use a spoiler:
SPIKE'S A DINOSAUR OMG OMG! (SPOILER)

So there's a WHOLE EPISODE and it's episode whatever and there's a musical number and Spike's grandmother comes back and she tells him he's really from DINOSAUR VALLEY omg and he can go back with her only he doesn't YOU GUYZ
Here we invite you to watch the Sky News feed of the election and discuss the results of the election being discussed on the feed.
NOTE: This thread will be closely monitored to make sure the comments are all in relationship with the election. This means all the comments must be about the election and your thoughts on it. If they are not, they will be promptly removed.
So, I like talking about things I've been reading. I actually care a lot about pony-fiction. I like to talk about what works, what doesn't. I also like recommending other works that I feel are worthy of at least discussion. Despite being a successful author here from the get go by most sane standards, I know what it's like to publish a fic from the heart and have no one to give a crap. Hence the appeal of signal-boosting fics I like to my friends. The fact is though, very often I find I don't
Warning: Spoilers from the latest episode, She Talks to Angel, abound. Proceed with caution.
Okay, I'm not waiting for knightly to make the episode discussion post on this one. I need to get this out of the way now. Because this episode, while cringe-worthy at times, was simply adorable. And it gave us great insight into one of the fandom's most hated characters, Angel Bunny. How so? Follow me below the break and I'll explain.
Hello, everyone! So, you might be wondering what I mean by the title. If some of you read my recent chapters or my most recent blog, you would have seen in my announcements that I was going on a trip to Japan. It was a student exchange trip that lasted about 10 days, and as much as I am talking about it casually, it may sound like this wasn't a big deal.
It was.
Ah April Fools Day. A time for merriment and silliness. Like Halloween, it's one of those days cordoned off for behavior that would normally be considered awkward or unusual. But, as often happens on these normalcy-flaunting holidays, people mess up. The social mores and rules are poorly defined, and people often rush to do something silly and step over the line. For today's meandering musing post, I'd like to discuss some things that make a good--or bad--April Fools prank.
