I just got back from the funeral a while ago for my Uncle Tony (his official first name was Anthony). He died unexpectedly just over a week ago at the age of 59. He'd been in good health from what we could tell, he showed no signs of depression and there's no evidence of any suspicious activity or foul play.

Heather North Kenney (or just Heather North), the voice of Daphne Blake from the second season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? all the way up to her retirement from the role in 1997, died on November 30 after a long illness, She was 70 years old.

Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, famous for his work on black holes and continuing his research long after being stricken with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, died yesterday at the age of 76.

Diagnosed with the disease in 1963 and given just three years to live, Hawking instead went on pursue a long academic career in astrology, ultimately leading to his landmark paper in the 1970's on his findings on black holes, namely that they were not actually black at all.
