It’s been way too long in coming, but it’s just about here: The Iron Horse Afterword drops tomorrow along with the finalized new cover image. I hope you all enjoy them both.
Just a reminder that Greenfinger will be drawing the new cover of The Iron Horse live on Twitch today @ 4 pm Central US Time, and I'll be co-commentating! Hope to see you there!
So, a while ago, Greenfinger streamed what was going to be the new Iron Horse cover image. It might have gone up already were it not for some miscommunication about what the background should be. But after looking at it, I decided I wanted to go in a different direction, so (after paying Green for the work he did already), we decided that he’ll give it another go on Monday at 4 pm US Central Time over on his Twitch Stream.
So, it slipped my mind but yesterday I planned to share a bizarre little story by one of my readers, Obsi (aka Shetland, aka the German kid who haunts Greenfinger’s live streams 😁). This story is about Unit 002 from The Iron Horse and her defrosting relationship with a zombie pony named Hollow. It’s certainly weird, but I’ve read it and rather enjoyed it, and it could use some love, so check it out for some post-Halloween robot x zombie fun. 🎃
In the last chapter of The Iron Horse, there’s a specific scene that a lot of you wanted to see illustrated. Specifically, the scene where Turing Test sees her siblings, including Georgia Peach, and Cobbler at the breakfast table. Well, a reader named Circuit Breaker went ahead and commissioned Greenfinger to draw it! Check it out below the break! (Spoilers
Hey folks! I’m just letting you know that I haven’t forgotten about the Afterword for The Iron Horse, or the FAQ that will come with it. Work and my dissatisfaction with the first draft of the Afterword slowed me down, but I’m about ready to launch it. In the meantime, if you have a question about The Iron Horse that you haven’t asked yet, you can check the original post about it
So, I'm writing an afterword for The Iron Horse, and I wanted to also take the time to answer any lingering questions readers might have. Therefore, if you've finished the book, please leave a comment on this blog post with any lingering questions you have about Turing Test's journey. I'll be glad to answer anything! I should note that you needn't ask "Will you write a sequel?" I intend to answer that already...
What a long, strange journey it has been...
So, some of you might remember a little story I wrote called "Running Free Across the Plain" almost two years ago. It and The Iron Horse reference each other, specifically when Twilight & co. are visiting the museum in Manehattan. Well, in the final chapter of The Iron Horse coming out today, that connection is finally coming back around because there will be a small bonus for those who've read
The finale comes full circle as the fate of Equestria is decided and Turing Test has a request for Twilight Sparkle...
Look at this piece of st...
...and you will know why I don't do my own illustrations for The Iron Horse.
Okay, so first off, thanks to everyone who showed up to Green's anniversary stream yesterday. We had fun hanging out with you!
I've got an unused sketch from a recent chapter and a story to share. This is the sketch, and yes, I can explain...
First, let me say that when I saw this I laughed my ass off, and it might get a colorized version later, so I am in no way disappointed with this.
And it's my birthday!
Yep, it's my birthday! 🍰 (Oh, who am I kidding with that cake emoji... 🍸)
First off, the next chapter of The Iron Horse is going up today, in the early evening! And after that, there are just TWO chapters left!
Psst! I just sent the next chapter of The Iron Horse to the editing team. Expect it Wednesday. I think it'll be worth the wait.
Oh, and, uh, sorry it got so delayed.
In the not too distant future... there will be a proper Iron Horse chapter. In the meantime, writing another episode of Turing Test and the CMCs riffing on a... unique story got me out of a bit of writer's block funk.
