Presenting chapter 3
I was going to post about this after Bronycon, but I thought I'd give it a week or so, so that it wouldn't get lost amidst everyone's post-Bronycon blogs. And being me, a week or so passed and I completely forgot I'd meant to post this.
But now I've been reminded, so here we go!
It's no secret, we're publishing Volume 2 as soon as it's done being written.
Right now I'm taking Pre-Orders for it and this does include a discount on those orders!
If you didn't get Volume 1 it's right here: https://rena-miller.squarespace.com/shop/fallout-equestria-dead-tree-volume-1
Good for most things in Ponyfeather Publishing's catalog including the Friends of PFP tab and Georg's collection.
(Sneak peek at Substitute Librarian below. Be careful of what you find in the darkness of the Canterlot emergency evacuation tunnels.)
Well, after literally more than half of my life, here it is.
Destinies Beyond the Mythos. My book.
The publishing process has been incredibly difficult, a constant slog of work to make a product that was worth the attention of other people, and it's finally done. On the non pony side this means that I'm going to spend the next few weeks crying in a corner as no copies sell. On the pony side, more fanfic probably!
Good for most things in Ponyfeather Publishing's catalog including the Friends of PFP tab and Georg's collection. Lulu just updated its webpage, so you might have some hiccups.
Hello again everyone,
Thanks to the wonderful people at the Write Practice Pro, I have published my first short story and forary into the 'Of Scales and Fur' universe.
Hey folks! Post-LTUE post here, based off of a couple of conversations I had at LTUE with other authors (be they at the green room, signings, panels, etc). It’s straightforward enough to jump right to the point, so I’ll ask it:
When will the next big shift in publishing hit?
The first volume's first half has been prepared and ready. However, to insure the quality of the book itself, I am refraining from making it available until after my proof copy has arrived and I can look it over for anything that could use some adjustments. I will be setting the price for $10 for each book, below the original recommended price. I will update everyone soon.
While I am steadily taking the time to figure out exactly how to use Lulu.com's printing services, I need to figure out exactly how I'm going to get these copies of Volume 1 printed. After discussing possible approaches with another writer on the site who has had his works printed, I've decided to run a down-payment campaign. If anyone wants a copy of The Lost Element's first volume, let me know and forward a $2 payment per copy to my Paypal account. Once the printed copies have been produced
It's done. Had quite a learning curve, but I finally got the hang of Lulu's interface to do my best to make for the best quality possible for these books. Illustrations are still out of the question due to having color publications jacking up the cost into the 70s and black & white illustrations just feel wasted while some you can barely make out what's going on in them. However, I am delighted to see that the font changes turned out well for when different characters write the chapters,
So my first published book is out on amazon for purchase.
The Heart of Fire Episode One is about three girls fresh out of magical school are looking for their place in the world after the loss of a close friend. Meanwhile an ancient evil is waking from its deep slumber. Can these three heroes defeat the new villain or will they be consumed by their grief?
I printed 500 Ponyfeather Publishing bookmarks to give away at last year's BronyCon:
This morning, I listed every eligible entrant in a text document, one per line, and used random.org's random number generator to pick line numbers. So...
Congratulations to NaiadSagaIotaOar, Emptybee, and CircuitMane! If you're reading this before reading your PMs, well, go read those and get back to me!
The fine folks at Ministry of Image are printing new short-story collections themed around Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. If you’ve been following really excellent authors like Skywriter, Horizon,
While my last blog entry I just did not too long ago focused on a lot of negative things, I wanted to focus on some more positive things. My Story "Moon Eyed" was just supposed to be the name of Hex's intro story. Instead it's not blossoming into a full series that I intend to write out. I'll fully admit that I was inspired when I saw the FimFiction booth at Bronycon. I had no idea that fanfics could become physical copies of books that people would actually want to buy. That's my aim here. I
I announced this book last month in my Everfree Northwest 2023 release round-up, but I felt it deserved a standalone post announcing its online availability.
Would you beat yourself up if you could travel to the past? Well, the perfectionist Twilight surely would. Unfortunately for her past self, she actually can.
