Some people love horror movies. Some people love horror novels. Some people like horror video games. I love horrific music.
To make a long story short, I was listening to some music, and a rather... unusual song popped up. Said song gave me some... unusual ideas regarding a certain story of mine, which is already well outside my writing comfort zone. So I thought to myself "Sure, why not throw this in, too? It's not like it was the most coherent of stories to begin with."
I've commissioned two pictures that I enjoy a great deal that could work as the cover for my upcoming Limestone X Flash story, Heavy Rock. The thing is, they work for very different reasons IMO, and I'm not sure which to choose. Would you be willing to vote in the comments below? You can just upvote the comment corresponding with your choice if you don't feel like leaving a comment of your own.
That’s three in a row! Some of y’all are being productive over the holidays, and the Admiral approves
The new chapter "Broken, Part 2," of The Iron Horse is out, and this post is about it. If you haven't read it yet, please check that first before proceeding. If you have, continue on after the break.
I tagged this with To Serve In Hell. We'll get there in a minute. First let's talk Heavy Rock, which is about 18 hours away from hitting the auto-submit queue.
Rarity is perfectly capable of waiting her turn
More to come when I'm not so giddy.
One of the ways to describe music is as sonic emotion. The emotions of joy, anger, fear, sadness and so forth, expressed as musical notes in chords and harmony. Various genres of music are often associated with various emotions. Country and Western is often associated with determination and melancholy. Classical music is associated with elegant manners. Rap with outrage and defiance, and so forth and so on.
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week.
First off, let me remind you all about the Nightmare Night Cyberpunk Story Contest. Oh, I do hope many of you will participate. I'm so nervous (especially since I spent money on prizes).
Hello, denizens of the Internet! Do you like symphonic metal? Do you like opera? Do you like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Do you like all of those things in one?
Emily Joseph. She's the one who will have my pony OCs on her spears. The background for this drawing is based on an old photo of my brother.
Probably none of the main characters. The only one I could think of right off the bat is Scootaloo. She's technically a next generation character, so she might be willing to go a lot heavier with her music selection than Rainbow Dash.
I have this whole image in my head of Sunset Shimmer recording material for a one man black metal project in a similar vein as Xasthur, Leviathan, and Striborg. She lives in the suburbs outside of canterlot city and prefers to record on cold, overcast, and/or rainy days.
