As has likely become obvious, I've gotten a bit dried up on writing Hero Souls and Tartarus Forged. Tartarus Forged in particular I'm having trouble simply writing. Ideas are abound, but arranging them into a story is giving me fits.
Friendship is Magic review by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
Credit where credit is due, this special has the funniest ending of the series, which was likely unintentional. I was laughing for awhile.
School Raze is the two-part finale of season 8, and exactly as I expected, takes itself too seriously. The antagonist of the episode is Cozy Glow.
So... anyone else notice a distinct lack of work being done on my older stories? Hero Souls and Tartarus Forged, to be specific.
With Tartarus Forged, I've actually been considering recently whether or not I want to just scrap it completely and try again with a different approach. This is one of the first stories I started that actually gained some popularity. I don't want to just abandon it, but I can't deny I have absolutely no drive to write it currently.
During their stay in Tartarus, I attempt to extrapolate the personality of each of the Knights of Order, trying to uncover what barriers might be in the way of them considering the love of friendship. The season finale has arrived..... And, wow, was this an INTENSE Finale! I hardly know where to begin..... Cozy Glow turning out as a villain and as plain evil, Chancellor Neighsay turning out as the lesser evil and even getting overthrown by Cozy Glow, Cozy Glow's brilliant and flawless plan where she thought on absolutely everything, how she got everypony on her side by simply acting charming, nice and adorable, Tirek as evil mentor pulling the strings from the background, the initial
And now we have arrived at the last one of my big writing efforts that I wanted to get done before Season 9 starts, my long-awaited fic for Cozy Glow!
"Letters to Cozy Glow" is a story about Twilight not giving up on Cozy Glow and assembling a team of ponies and creatures to send Cozy Glow letters and tell her about their own experiences with friendship, villainy, betrayal and the struggle between good and evil, in the hopes that their combined effort can show Cozy Glow the light.
