State of the Author: January February March
Last time I wrote one of these I was all braggy about managing to do a SotA two months in a row. And I was going to do a post for New Year, and . . . aw, what the heck, it’s not too late yet.

I've been sick for two weeks, but I'm doing better now. And I have some big news.
But first, smaller news.
I apologize, folks, but you’re going to have to wait a bit for new content. The reason is that there’s been a lot of not-entirely-pleasant stuff happening to me of late, including a long road trip and a minor medical procedure that took up two days of my time—one that required first fasting and ingesting half a gallon of a very unpleasant substance followed by a lot of sitting. 
Work has picked up as well, and as a result, I’ve had neither much time nor emotional energy to write
The delay is to give at least one more prereader time to catch up and fully review it. It’s more or less ready except for a second editing pass and tweaks, including one final addition for another prereader who requested it.
And sorry to be a broken record about it, but I’ve had a very stressful few weeks both at work and at home I won’t go into further here. Maybe later. The story chapter is part of the stress, given it keeps growing as large as Queen Molyneux as she rises to challenge the Dragon Lord.
Deliciously healthy, aren't they? Yeah, I don't want to have them either.....

hi all, dunno how many you are still even active in the year 2023 but I might actually have a pony fic on the way! can you believe it?
Every once in a while, your muse kicks in, and then you get on this writing roll and can’t stop. Today was a such a day, as I took my new Firefly chapter from 1600 words all the way to draft complete at 9300 words. So at this point, you can expect it to launch by midweek and probably be in the neighborhood of 10.5k words after all prereads are in and all my editing passes are complete. As this is the fifth of six promised chapters by summer, this also means there should be no issue with
It's September! That means October is right around the corner! As a birthday present, and as a one year anniversary, I came up with a list of fictions and teasers that will be released on that very day!
