Work has commenced on Chapter 40 of Flash Fog. It's hard to believe that when I first conceived of this idea, I thought it would be a relatively simple one-shot, but that was before I decided to expand the various subplots to make it feel more like an epic disaster movie.

Anyway, for those of you who don't read Flash Fog, here's something interesting I found on YouTube.

So, the draft is done, and it awaits feedback from my prereaders, who can now use Google Documents' new "Suggest Edit" feature, which is totally awesome and makes proofreading far less of a pain in the ass than it was before.

Well, I've fairly busy this weekend. Not only is Chapter 37 roughly halfway done, but I managed to hunker down and outline the rest of the story. I think it's headed towards a really satisfying ending, but then, my opinion on the matter is not exactly impartial.

Chapter 36 is complete, and awaiting the final round of feedback from my prereaders.

Goodness, it's been nearly a week since my last update. Chapter 35 is coming along, though a little bit slower than usual--normally, when I start writing a chapter, I don't take days off from writing unless real life interrupts me, but this week I took two days off for the heck of it. I'd say the chapter is about halfway done.

And now for the modern-day koan: If Sean Bean and Michelle Rodriguez were in the same movie, whose character would die first?
