The prodigal.
Long ago, I had a similar concept for a story named “Tarnished Soul” which has been ultimately dismantled and put back together in what we all know and love as Transparent Living. I might revisit it, but let’s focus on the task at hand- this was on the inspiration playlist.
It was bound to happen. This is the track that introduced me to Reasoner.
A Walk Down the Trail by Reasoner:
Interstellar - Ending Scene:

You can blame this piece of inspiration for the ending. To me, the scene of Cooper approaching his aged daughter in the hospital bed was something that haunted my mind for a good portion of my teenage life. Although, not directly, I realize that this has influenced the way I write endings- bittersweet.
Welp, forgot to get this out last week So this week will be a double blog post whammy.
Since this is an important one, it goes first. It has regards to the question that I answered for the user Starlight Nova a couple weeks ago. I figured that a comment might not do it justice, so a blog post what the next best thing.
Living Transparent by Reasoner:
Yet another PMV coming at you. No surprise that this somehow lands here. It has no direct correlation to the story, so I put it on the backburner. The most direct that I can put it though is the part where Dazzle is visiting Silver Spoon in the dream world (Ch 17)
Strangers by Scratch21 :
Welp, a week late. Still, I'm learning how to adhere to a schedule. Please bear with me.
…This one is going to be tough to introduce. Let’s just say my favorite movie is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which had a huge influence on me before creating Transparent Living.
Stay Alive by Jose Gonzales:

As we venture into the final section of the story, right now is the perfect opportunity to turn back the pages and reflect on another centralized pillar of inspiration.

Two Studio Ghibli tracks are coming.

The vibe of this song should stick out from the rest. It has a nostalgic, longing feel, yet isn’t sad and dreary. It leaves the listener with the stars in their eyes, yet content with where they are currently at.

The Ground Zero.
Now, back to Scheduled Angst. Rooting through the last few bits of meme-age from the age of post-hype, I came across this gem.
Cut My Hair (Originally by Cavetown, but I like the cover done by Cavetown & Mounika):
Since I want to stick to where the inspiration came from, I’m going to the point of origin, a short animation from Wacky-Skiff:
The Beatles.
A band who literally needs no introduction whatsoever.
I used to be one of those folks who disliked them simply because of their massive popularity.
What an outrageous fool I was.
Nowhere Man by the Beatles, from the 1965 album Rubber Soul.
Memory Lane (Sittin' in da Park) By Nas, Album (illmatic)
This is one of the best songs ever made!
I imagine Amethyst liking some specific pieces of 80s in her music. She's already shown off some numbers she likes, but what else does she like?
1. Take My Breath Away
2. Never Gonna Give You Up
3. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
4. Savin' The Day
5. Danger Zone
6. Bad
7. Take On Me
These are what we know she likes so far. But there are some other pieces I thought she may like
8. Destination Unknown
9. Power Of Love
10. Don't You (Forget About Me)
11. Billie Jean
12. Beat It
The Message By Nas, Album (It Was Written)
N.Y. State of Mind, Pt. ll By Nas, Album (I Am...)

Apparently, I don't have a video editor on this computer, so I haven't found a way to upload to YouTube yet. Google Drive is the only option for now.
More after the jump.
This is going to be an on-going series where I post a song I like every day, and there's no better way to start than by starting with a classic AZ song.
Rather Unique By AZ Album (Doe or Die)
