So the cover art for the coming anthology of side stories to Batty's sequel is done and it's too cute not to share right now, proper timing and marketing be damned.

We've got Morning, Night, Tempered, the Twins--Rolling Thunder and Red Dawn--Aunt Mercy, Diamond Tiara, and, of course, little Pushing Daisies. The artist was also nice enough to give updated Cutie Mark References so yay!

Sorry for the delay on this one, had some stuff come up but I finally found time to finish it. This one’s got a mix of slice of life and lore stuff, and some of it will play a larger role in the story itself going forward.

This chapter was another fun one to write, and ultimately got a lot more of the character development stuff than I originally planned on including. Dare I say, this was one of my favorite chapters I’ve ever written, and I’m excited to write more in the future! Another brand new chapter today! Nothing ground breaking, but it’s back to the cute characters I really enjoy writing the most. I’ve got another in the works already, and that should be out next week.

As always, I really appreciate any kind of feedback, I’m working really hard on trying to get some, and even just something small would mean the world to me.

So... I have to say, I’m genuinely surprised at how well “Just a Bat... a Bat on the Hunt for Headpats!” Was received. It’s something I spent probably 5 minutes planning and an hour writing, and I honestly didn’t expect it to do well at all. The fact that it hit featured and is now my top rated story came as a complete shock to me, in a good way mind you.

Bat ponies are an off shoot pegasi, either the product of a recessive gene, or some type of stray magic.
They have leathery bat like wings instead of the feathery wings pegasus are known for.
They have slitted pupil eyes giving them outstanding night vision, a useful trait as they are nocturnal unlike other ponies
