So, at long last, I'm home! BABSCon was freaking epic and far surpassed my expectations... but also for reasons I never saw coming!

Hey folks!
First of all, sorry I haven’t updated since Pacific PonyCon last weekend. I have simply been exhausted and real life has been practically whipping me through the streets. Tons of stuff going on, tons of projects to juggle.
With every single thing, I forgot that there was a con this very weekend! The only Dutch MLP convention is going to start in about 7 hours from posting this little blog. Months of preparation and trail and error, but now it's finally going to start! Time flies when you're busy as a bee. The final day has come, the hours tick away and I'm ready for it.
As almost all the community panels I attended were from people on FIMFiction, I trust they will post some of their notes or thoughts on those panels. If not, then I’ll have to steal all their ideas and seem super smart.
And I have some thoughts myself that I’m going to write up as proper articles about some stuff regardless.
Bronycon was straight-up one of the best weekends of my life.
I'd love to gush about it. And I will! But I've been home for less than 24 waking hours. And in that time, I have:
Well, damn. This is a long one.
So it turns out I made it to Everfree Northwest 2023 after all -- well, most of it. I did have to miss a big chunk of Saturday, unfortunately, and some of Friday evening. But I got to see almost all the panels I was most excited for, got to do the big activities that I was itching to do, and got to meet (or reunite) with so many members of our lovely fanfic community!
I've inserted a paragraph of foreshadowing to Part 2 of Project Pink Slip in Twilight's Secret Journal that I'd mistakenly left out of the final edit.
Of course, I'm not telling you which one it is.
TL;DR: Here's a shareable spreadsheet of Online Pony conventions for May/June:

EDIT: Equestria Daily made a page for online pony cons, probably based on this list I sent them, yay!

How to start?

ULTRA NSFW FIC (Read the triggers)
So... yeah. That was a monster towards the end, although it is mostly fun. Why did I post it? Ponies lit a creative spark in me, I guess. Sometimes that makes me write about nice stuff, and sometimes not so much. There was a reason for it all, but this fic became extremely intense.
If I get comments on the fic, I will post them here and reference the comment.
I actually haven't considered this, and maybe I really should have. Anyway, for months there's been talk of Bronycon organizing a bookstore where you can purchase fanfiction hard copies. Now, the idea of a fanfiction hard copy is really neat to me. I've always wanted personal copies of some of my stories! I still have no idea if I could make it to this year's Bronycon, sadly. I really want to, but the whole thing is up in the air, especially because I'm going to have a lot of stuff on my plate
So how has work been? Well, it's taken me two weeks to post an already-written, already-edited, already-published-in-an-exclusive-con-book story, so I think that's your answer.
But anyway, onto the story notes!
To prevent confusion down the line, I've changed the setting name (as given on the title page of Twilight's Secret Journal) from Rise of Spring to Order of Spring. I can imagine ponies trying to tag it both ways on images, and that would be needlessly wat.
Hello everyone! Just letting you know that my pal and illustrator Colby "Greenfinger" Green is going to be at this weekend's Crystal Mountain Pony Con!
I hung out with a bunch of people since I got into Seattle on Thursday. A partial, horribly incomplete list would include:
Xepher (rooming with him, cool dude as always, fair bit of presence IRL. Good at running panels, very efficient and good at sparking/spurring conversation)
Winston (Cool dude as always; a bit quiet, but nice to hang out with and chat with. He’s on the staff, so secretly rules over us all, like Xepher)
Mudpony (I’ll read that story, I swear!)
