The officers of LFE are editors loyal to this group and its members. Throughout the course of a week, each officer will make a list of stories they found quite promising, but did not have the time or resources to pick up themselves. The nominations from each officer will be compiled in a weekly stickied thread, to be updated each Sunday.

The stories in the weekly feature are still open to every editor in the group, but they do have an additional perk. If an editor commits to a featured story, and the author provides proof, the editor receives some points. They can earn additional points in that author's 'performance evaluation' sent via PM to an admin. After the editor earns enough points, and after some scrutiny and review, he can be promoted to an officer himself, if he so desires. In the future, officers may gain additional privileges.

(NOTE: I have intentionally not included point amounts and the point threshold in an effort to encourage legitimate and quality editing, as opposed to gunning for a promotion.)
