So I realise that I'm almost three weeks late to make something about this episode, so I'm not sure how many people will even read this, and at first I wasn't gonna make this because I thought that at least some of the Rarijack-related things that I had to say about this episode were so small that it would look like I was just grasping at straws lol. However, judging by Applety's comments on this post: https://www.fimfiction.net/group/91/rarijack/thread/329691/im-not-saying, it appears I'm not the only one who notices every tiny detail, so I thought "why not?"

I love that I was able to inspire such a post!!! And yes!!! I saw all of this too and gushed!!! AJ was the most vocally helpful and complimentary towards Rarity in this episode!

Best compliments and even had that whole "snap outta it" attitude that works so well with someone who is accustomed to dealing with Rarity's shenanigans. That hint that AJs words help snap Rares out of her dramatics!

Because it should definitely be a thing.
There has to be at least one shipper of them working on the show, because they're constantly being paired up in the show and are seriously so affectionate and loving, ah!

I've always been of the idea that, if the team has to make one of the Mane 6 LGBT, that one has to be Applejack (and before you think about it, no. It can't be Rainbow Dash because 1: it would be too obvious, tentative and stereotypical. And 2: There's enough evidence to prove that she is straight.). The main problem is: who could be her better half ? I mean, as much as I love Rarijack, that's almost impossible because Rarity is the most straight of the girls and there's enough evidence to prove itl). But honestly, I can't imagine anyone else taking her place.

I agree with you completely about the Rainbow Dash thing, even if one of my favourite ships for her is PinkieDash.

As for Rarity, I always think that she'd just be bisexual, and that the reason she flirts so much and tries so hard with any stallion she may randomly fall for is because she constantly refers to herself as "a lady." She probably has it in her head that "a true lady must marry a stallion. She cannot be a lesbian" and "he must be of high social standing to meet my standards (so no farm ponies.)" You know, stuff like that.

But eh, that's just my view on the matter.

Rarity could definitely be straight (or bi, but leans towards stallions) but I headcanon her as closeted gay/bi.
Often it feels like she's following a script- she's supposed to fall in love with a prince or noble pony. And, frankly, I think she assumes she needs to marry a unicorn. Someone rich, well-connected, knows all the right words to say and can sweep a mare off her hooves.
And then there's Applejack.
She's the complete antithesis of everything she thought she wanted, but she finds herself falling for her anyway for those exact reasons
