The first game in this series was described as "Dark Souls with guns" a fair amount, though some of the bits with terminals and such felt kinda Fallout.

I actually liked the first game a lot, but the trouble was the bosses were clearly designed for multiplayer, and I couldn't really get past them, since I was playing it single player. Still enjoyed it, tho'.
