Any good group needs rules, and this one is no exception. So here they are:

  1. First and foremost, any and all rules laid out by the administrators of FimFiction apply here, as well. You can find them by hovering over the Help tab and clicking on the word Rules, or through this link. These rules are non-negotiable.
  2. No fighting. A heated debate can be good for creativity, but no personal attacks. We're all friends here.
  3. If you are submitting a story for the purposes of asking for help, do so in the forum, not in the comments section. If you post requests for aid in the group comments section, it may be glossed over, and you may not receive any help. Posting it in the forum sends an alert to everyone's feed, and they'll be more likely to see it.
  4. This group does not deal in mature stories. All stories added to this group must be rated safe for everyone, or safe for teens. This includes linking to stories, embedding stories, or submitting stories to folders.

    • Caveat: If you need help in writing a mature story, you can make a forum post that asks for help, but you cannot link the story. Any parties interested in offering aid will send a private message.
  5. Mild profanity is allowed. Sometimes, it's called for, other times, it's not. Keep it to a reasonable level, in consideration for your fellow users. Thank you in advance for your moderation.
  6. Writing challenges may be added from time to time to spark creativity. Participation is very much encouraged, and is open to everyone. Official writing challenges will be pinned in the forum so as to be easily found.
  7. In the event that this group is hosting a contest, all liability for that contest lies with the user that submitted the contest, not with the administration of the group. Official contests will be pinned in the forum so as to be easily found.
  8. If you wish to submit a writing challenge or contest, contact a group administrator. Make sure that your submission is in the following format:

    • The premise goes here. Make sure all premises are simple and easy to follow. The simpler your premise is, the more likely it is you'll convince other users to join in. A good premise gives us a starting point, a goal, and a vehicle with which to reach that goal.
    • All limitations to the stories go here. A good set of limitations simply makes the easiest path and excessively complicated paths inaccessible, leading to creative and interesting solutions in order to reach the goal. Excessive limitations can lock out all but one path, and if everyone's story is exactly the same, that's neither creative nor interesting.
    • When users are done, they'll need a place to submit their stories. All official challenges and contests will be given a folder for their submissions to go into.
    • If you're submitting a contest, you need to offer a prize. It must be made clear to all participants exactly what their prize is. Writing challenges have no prize, as their goal is to spark creative ideas.
    • If you're submitting a contest, you need to set a deadline. This requires a date, time, and time zone. 6 P.M. PST is 8 P.M. CST. Make sure you are accurate, to avoid confusion. Writing challenges have no deadline, as inspiration can strike at anytime, plus we want to keep them open to new members.

These are the rules as they have been put together. If any new rules need to be made, contact a group administrator.

And please, do not force me to design punishments for rule-breakers. Let this group be made up of members who follow the rules.
