In fiction, ogres are often depicted as big, hefty brutes that have few compunctions about what or who they eat. Regardless of these cliches, they either resemble really big humans in settings such as Warhammer, or really big orcs, such as in Warcraft. I’m conflicted on which version to use. On one hand, ogres have traditionally resembled humans; on the other, the words orc and ogre share linguistic roots. Which one do you think might make more sense in a setting such as MLP?

Ogres that are teeny bit more bestial than a human part, because there ain't not humies in the world of MLP.

In the fairy tales I read as a kid, ogres were monstrous, inhuman creatures who were skilled in using magic. How about using those ogres?

Diamond Dogs seem to be the MLP equilvanet to orcs or at least goblins.

Maybe make an ogre like a giant, mutant diamond dog. Maybe more like a diamond wolf or even a diamond bear, if that makes any sense.
