Hello, and welcome to the Society.

This group, as the title implies, is for fans of the character of Sherlock Holmes. We will be discussing the original 60 stories, the subsequent pastiches, films, history and influence on modern culture. If you are not interested in any of these things, then this is clearly not the group for you.

Otherwise, I want to thank you for joining.

As of now, we only have a few basic rules.

1) Only threads concerning Sherlock Holmes and related properties are permitted. All other threads will be locked. Whether or not a thread should be locked will be decided on a case by case basis.

2) Arguing and debates are encouraged, but insults are not permitted. Anyone caught doing so will be given one warning before being banned for a certain amount of time.

3) Please follow the general site rules.
