One of the things I have discovered is that it can sometimes be difficult to make references to a Gorgony's mane, especially since it isn't technically a mane but instead is a large mass of writhing serpents. So I decided to create this thread to give people some ideas on how they can refer to their Gorgony's mane in their stories.

1. Simply as a Mane.
Despite consisting of serpentine bodies it can still be referred to as a mane so long as you make it clear that it consists of serpentine heads.

2. Strands.
Think of each serpentine body that is a part is attached to the Gorgony's head as a strand of scaly hear with a serpentine head on the end.

3. Snakes.
Well, they are just that. The only difference is that they are attached to the Gorgony's head. Also depending on who you wish to write your story the serpent heads could also be sentient and perhaps are able to communicate "telepathically" with their "host."
