So, Biden is indeed going to run again. Personally, I really wish he wouldn't. He's been modestly successful, but he has the same problem as 2020. He's solely a viable alternative to whatever the GOP puts forward, solely there to make sure the GOP can't reclaim the White House. But here's the thing, again, beating the GOP at their worst should be the floor and not the ceiling. Biden is not the candidate for these times. We need someone honed in the reality of the fact that the GOP are never going to come back to the proverbial center, and we shouldn't wait for them to do so.

It frustrates me that yet again, we are forced to support a moderate, centrist candidate even when it's clear that such candidates just don't excite people anymore and that being "boring" and "competent" is not enough to win elections. Just look at what we're facing right now: Gun violence, climate change, income equality, rollbacks on abortion, the list goes on. If Biden and the DNC really believe democracy is in danger, isn't it time they showed a willingness to fight for it without waiting for permission from the voters of old who will look for any excuse not to back us?

The sad thing is, Sanders and Warren aren't much better. They're just as old as Biden. We really need a fresh face, and a Democratic party that's committted to aggressive action to address 21st century problems with 21st century problems.
