Magic; these humans are a rare species, not because there's not a lot of them, rather it is the fact that they aren't connected to magic like the rest of species of Equus. So instead, humans have the ability to resist magic, to the point where it is useless against them.

Culture/Society; The humans of Mentpolis is a zealous yet friendly and honourable people. They hold great respects to kingdoms that can fend themselves, but also fend for others and against impossible odds. A warrior culture similar to that of Minotaurs, yet unlike the Minotaurs, the humans has made a very large impact to the politics and internationals events of the world. A avenge human's life is to rise to challenges, achieve glory and to defend their people, their rulers and their empire from threats outside their island. They have a monarchy, a monarchy with similar traces like the Ailcorns, powerful, live for a very long age and are thought off as gods to their subjects. Humans calls their rulers either the 'God-King' or the 'Deity-Queen'. But what many species knows about the Empire, is their resistance, navy power, and their infamous history and wars.

History/Background;

Draconic Mentpolis/Ancient History; during the ancient years of the first age, pre-Equestria 4000 years ago, there lived a mighty empire known as the Draconic Empire of the Dragon Lands. The empire ruled over modern day Griffinstone, eastern parts of modern day Equestria, most of southern Zebrica and the majority of Mentpolis. During these times, the humans of Mentpolis were nothing more than fearful clans, living in the mostly forest lands of the north-west of Mentpolis, who were unprepared for the invasion of the dragons. Now the word unprepared is a understatement, the clans were prepared for an attack, but mostly they thought it would be from other human clans, not giant lizards that breathed fire. But despite this attack, humans were no pushovers. The humans fought the dragons furiously and determent to throw out the scaly invaders from their homeland. The war known as the Mentpish Rebellions, or to the humans The Revolt, lasted for over 600 hundred years. The dragons looked among the humans not in hatred, but rather in respect. For most of the Draconic Empire, many rebellions happened over the years, mostly in Griffinstone and Zebrica, but the dragons would easily put it down. But with the fight with the humans was one that cost them dearly, for not only does the humans know their lands better than the dragons, as well as retreating deep into their forests where the dragons could not get nor burn their way through, but rather their strange ability of resisting their strength as well as their fire. A dragon commander during the Revolt wrote down an sentence that best describes the war. It quotes;

'When my kins breath their fire of their ancestors, most races would flee in terror and fear from the sight. But these humans, when we breath our fire at them, it was more of a clock for them to stab us in the throat, or to some, a great annoyance' - A dragon commander, during the Mentpish Rebellions, 3862 BE (Before Equestria)

The humans were led by their unifier called God-King Onryne, leader of all clans and first king of the humans, who fought the dragons at every turn. From their strongest to their weakest, the humans fought the dragons to edge of their southern sea, where the Battle of Beadu pushed the dragons out of Mentpolis for good with none other then Onryne slaying the dragon's High-lord in the final hours. After the crippling battle for the Draconic Empire, they were weak for other rebellions to rise against them. In truth, the zebra's and the griffin's War of Independence couldn't of happened if it wasn't for the costly war that was fought in Mentpolis. With the Draconic Empire tearing apart, the humans renamed themselves and call their homeland; The Empire of Mentpolis, with Onryne as the supreme ruler.

Maintaining an Empire; after the Revolt, the task of building an empire was the top priority on God-King Onryne's list, it wasn't a easy task. He began by splitting his lands into five provinces; The Realms of the Mennisclic. The northern province of Wyrt−ruma is hailed as the birthplace of the human's culture, of the Revolt and the birthplace of Onryne's rise of godhood, which remains a top kept secret among the humans. The humans here takes their traditions seriously, maintaining important historic events, histories and many knowledgeable aspects to their people's culture and present in the Equus. It is also here that much of the finest knights, generals and heroes are born and bred into the empire, and fight many wars for their Divine Rulers, their empire, their people and their homeland. The southern province of Vignari is perhaps the most loyal and royalist of people, it is hailed as the birth of human navy as well as the famous Battle of Beadu which won the humans their own empire. Many imported goods from intentional communities grew in this southern land. However it is their loyalty to their immortal royalties that makes them stand out from the rest, it is here that most of the Royal Vanguards-Sworn protecters of their rulers- are bred and trained, it is no secret to the humans and non-humans of how extreme it is to be class as a recruit, requiring a trial that would easily break anyone that tries to get in and is dubbed out of Mentpolis as the hardest and toughest training and soldiers in Equus. The Eastern province of Caesin is the breadbasket of Mentpolis. It is hailed as the birth land of the human race as well as the lands not own by the dragons. Its lustrous forests, its rolling greenlands, and it's beautiful farms enables and insures that the empire's people will never starve and the food that's grown here are praised by their favour, it is like the other province well known for one thing, and that is their chefs. Where ponies, griffins, and other races can be expects in the art of food, the chefs here are known as the greatest of greatest, one cannot lie to the fact that a approval of one of these chefs is a great thing, and a sign of a blessing for chefs who want to be the best. It is no secret that most of the famous chefs from other lands were taught by Caesin chefs and there has been no one ever to beaten them in food. The western province of Irthir-Naam Is one of pure knowledge, where the finest advisors, politicians, diplomats and scientists are born. Its mountains shadows most of the west of Mentpolis, as cities are built to protect and contain the knowledge passed on by generations of the wise and the intelligent. It is here that a rare species, that prove that humans can interbreed with other races, what the humans calls Healf-Môdsefa, or Half-Bornes, half human and half dragon. These beings lives in clans deep in the mountains where they cannot be easily found. Though the humans don't treat them badly nor treat them as second class citizens, rather they take pity on them for the fact that early humans and dragons bred one another. Irthir-Naam also holds embassies and foreign affairs rather than having them in the capital city of Unornlic. Which leads to the final province; the province of Unornlic, Capital of the Mentpolis Empire. The city is another province because it symbolise the unity and brotherhood of the Humans and their empire. It is here that important matters takes place and where the Divine Royalty lives, in their castle of Uferian, as well as the famous Cerddoriaeth, home of Instruments and Sounds. The Cerddoriaeth is the main reason many musical instruments like lyres, violins, cellos, lutes, pianos and harpsichords were created. When the Mentpolis Empire joined the international community around 700 B.N.M (Before Nightmare Moon) much of human instruments were bought by the thousands, making the Cerddoriaeth well known for their music. Unornlic is ruffly the same size as Canterlot, but built on the sacred lands of Dy'Reckon where the armies of the humans marched towards Beadu, that gained them their independence. Overall The Realms of the Mennisclic was created to govern Mentpolis more easily and lived for 10 centuries before God-King Onryne's death at the age of 1000 from an unknown illness, to which his daughter Deity-Queen Sia took over the empire.

Expanding an Empire; After the passing of God-King Onryne, Deity-Queen Sia began her rein by ordering a massive fleet to be constructed and readied to sail in four months. She knew all too well that if the dragons came from beyond the Celestial Sea, then they could come back twice as strong as before. The Constructers Organisation of Akuech led by Sutrinus Tawura, built a mighty fleet of 400 warships and 600 transport ships and named the fleet Onryne's Legacy. After they were built they were given to Admiral Ogelend K'itril, or to his men Ogelend Black-Cutlass for his family weapon, and was ordered to begin the expansion of the Mentpolis Empire. In five years, Ogelend discovered and conquered many islands and isles for the humans, around 96% of any/most islands in the Celestial Sea is occupied by the empire, where they are either colonies or military bases. The reason was that the other kingdoms haven't began claims islands as they were too busy negotiating on who own what land. After land dispute was settled, many looked to the Celestial Sea, only to find nearly all of the territories owned by a new nation that none know who. The only island that wasn't owned by the humans was the Griffism Isles, where the town of Trottingham was built on the northern shores of the isles.

First Contact/ Black-Cutlass's Mutiny; During the building and legal ownership of the isles, Equestrian and Griffinstonian officers began sending reports to the Princesses of Equestria and King of Griffinstone, giving great informations and concerns of large undocumented ships in the distance, watching them from afar. At first many thought it was ships from the Zebra Federation or the Minotaur Republic, but when both of them informed that either side has the tools to create such ships and the fact that they were at war with one another which put their resources low, ponies and griffins came the conclusion that it could be new nation and possible new race. During these discussions, Admiral Ogelend K'itril became somewhat a hero and a symbol of human navy supreme, which he began to fall to power hunger. With booming colonies like Trollbanic and Ashjewl'tug and military bases like Fury-full and Wath'troth made because of his discovery of new islands and isles, Ogelend felt confused as to why he must serve the Divine Royalty. Why should he obey a Queen that stays in their homeland? Why should he be ordered around by her? And the question that made him drove to the path of insanity, what's so special about her and her father? In the sea, Ogelend rules all, the waves and tides move only for him he thought, his own men didn't even call him by his birth name, but rather just Admiral Black-Cutlass. When Black-Cutlass found the Griffism Isles and constructing town of Trottingham, his power madness took hold of his mind. He wrote his final letter to Deity-Queen Sia, telling her that he will attack the intruders of HIS isles and that he'll enjoy becoming Overlord Black-Cutlass to those who defy HIS rule.

'My most 'loving' Queen,

I am writing towards you explaining that some intruders have settled on my isles, that's right my Queen, MY isles in the northern regions of MY sea.

Know that I'm done serving a Queen on the land throne of our people giving orders to the fleet I command!

Those intruders will pay in either blood...Or some other payment.

Sending his loyalty to himself and the waters he commands,
Admiral and soon-to-be Overlord Black-Cutlass'- Black-Cultass's mutiny towards Deity-Queen Sia

The first contact of the humans was one of brutal assault and terror. When Deity-Queen ordered any ships in Onryne's Legacy who are still loyal to their Queen to assist the settlers of Trottingham to the safety from either the settlers' homelands or one of their nearby colonies, Admiral Black-Cutlass ransack, tortured and killed any who stood in his way, soldiers and citizens alike. The Fall of the Isles as it went down showed the fury of what happens when one's pride is too strongly. 270 warships and 430 transport ships stood next to their admiral whilst the rest were loyal to their Deity-Queen and helped the saviours evacuate the isles. There were 4000 settlers on the isles and in Trottingham....Only 730 made it out alive. However, Black-Cutlass's madness only grew stronger with his prisoners of Trottingham, seeing new ways of making a living. With the prisoners, he began selling them to slavers from far and wide, with their belongings he stole them and sold them to illegal businessmen and countless other crimes. This was the creation of The Black Market that still plague modern life. The loyalist ships aided the settlers and demanded to see their leaders, as their Queen was heading their way to try and stop this madness. The meeting between Deity-Queen and the Princesses and King was at first wary, after all new contact with people that just attacked is not a good start to diplomacy. However, it when well and formed a temporary alliance to fight Black-Cutlass and retake the Griffism Isles. Not to mention the famous speech of Sia, which explains what she see this mutiny as;

'Celestia; How many of your people follows Admiral Ogelend K'itril?

Sia; None

Luna: None? There's hundreds of your kind in Trottingham

Sia; There is no human in Trottingham, there was none even in the attack

King Guffon, whispering to his close adviser; Is this girl being serious?

Sia; This girl is, those who follows the bastard Ogelend are not humans. They have forsaken their people, they have thrown away what makes them human, they're not part of Humanity. This betrayal is against not me, but to the whole Revolt and our race. Therefor, no human has joined Ogelend and his animals, that is why we are going to slaughter them like animals. We will destroy Ogelend's Black-Pirates!'- Sia's speech against Ogelend's mutiny.

With the remaining fleet of Onryne's Legacy loyal to Sia, she and her newly allies attacked the occupied Griffism Isles without delay, knowing full well that if they wait, Ogelend could have the whole isles in lockdown and their traitorous fleet attacking other isles and islands. The Battle of Griffism or the Back-Cutlass Rebellion to the humans was a quick but costly fight. The remaining loyal warships charged like a vanguard line into the heart of Black-Cutlass fleet with their Deity-Queen that was hellbent on slaying the traitorous admiral. The remaining transport ships deployed hundreds of humans, ponies and griffins onto the isles where they had brutal battle to recapture Trottingham. As the allied forces retaken the isles, Sia and Ogelend fought on another in the chance of having full control over the entire fleet and the seas beyond. The battle between the Deity-Queen and the Fallen Admiral were the stuff of legend, but at the end there was no death, as Ogelend allowed his entire crew, not including his first mate to throw their lives for him. Black-Cutlass escaped with the remaining fleet, heading towards the south-east region of the Celestial sea which became to be known as Ogelend Dominion. After retaking the isles, Sia wanted answers from the captured traitors on how this happened. The information was strange, they say that Ogelend saved three sea creatures who sang in dread and fright. One was blue, one was purple and the other was golden. For their recuse, these creatures blessed the admiral's cutlass with their songs, granting him the ability to rule the sea without fear of its waters. However, the effects took hold of his mind and those around him, making them corrupted and turn traitor to their own people. But for now, the humans and their allies has defeated Black-Cutlass's fleet, and with it any chance of another invasion from the Black-Pirates as they came to be known. With the isles back to their owners, the Princesses wished to continue this alliance with the empire, but Deity-Queen denied, claiming that this alliance was only built to clean up a mess and that it shall not happen again. However the Empire of Mentpolis did agree to join the international community and allowed trade between the two nations. This began a steady relationship for many years, until the time of Nightmare Moon.

Foreign Relations/Wars; For over four centuries of peace, the Empire of Mentpolis became a powerful nation among nations. With the guidance of their Deity-Queen, the human race became one of the main races in globe politics. They made many good and bad relations with the other races. The best relation they had was with the zebras, because of a treaty known as the Zebrica-Mentpolis Pact, the zebras became a protectorate to the humans so that they can rebuild their war torn lands from the hateful Minotaurs invasions. The humans ruled the lands and politics of the zebras, in return the humans will fend them against the minotaurs till Zebrica could defend herself and then gain their independence. Many zebras welcomed their human overlords as many of those overlords valiantly gave their lives against the minotaurs so that the zebras could rebuild. Surprisingly, the many wars between humans and minotaurs did not damage their relationships, rather it made the two race respect one another. After the zebras fixed their homeland and gained their independence from the humans, the minotaurs and the humans began diplomatic meetings with each other, which ended up with a trade agreement between the two nations. To this day, humans and minotaurs are the second biggest trading parters after Equestria, with Minotaurda's economy booming by 30% thanks to the trade agreement. However the worse relationship was between the griffins. They may of been allies during the Black-Cutlass Rebellion, but other time grew cold with one another. It began with argument of ownership of a island known as Tridom'Vercoadom near the coat of Griffinstone that is owned by Mentpolis. With it being so close to the griffin homeland and the fact that Tridom'Vercoadom owns a large amount of coal and gold that is traded to Minotaurda and Equestria, the Griffin King Thunder-Feather asked Deity-Queen Sia to handover the island to Griffinstone, which she didn't allow. This didn't help the griffins as they had a economic crisis four mouths afterward. At first the king tried paying the island, Sia denied. He then asked if they could share the island, Sia denied. At the heated of the argument, Thunder-Feather ordered the Deity-Queen to hand it to him or face war, which Sia answered by ordering a massive banner with the flag of Mentpolis to be raised over the island with the saying;

'If you want Tridom'Vercoadom, come and get it then'

This sparked the Vercoadom War. As griffin fleet amassed and headed to the island, a task force sent from Mentpolis landed on the island and set up defensives around the coast. As the griffin fleet of Grifcast charged head first at the the island, the humans were already at a advantage. The griffins knights fell quickly to the human legions' onslaught, where the humans took no prisoners and just annihilated any griffin on Tridom'Vercoadom. As the griffin knights' numbers dropped, the human fleet O'Kaneta surprised the fleet of Grifcast under the cover of night, where they destroyed 50 warships and 400 sea-griffins. The griffins retreated in defeat, over 870 griffins died in the war while only the humans only lost 80. Thunder-Feather tried to call for peace, but not before O'Kaneta's warships raided the port city of Peck-Wing and burnt it to the ground. This brought in Equestria who quickly stepped in and asked the two race for peace, ending the war in just a week, giving the war another name; the Week War. The Treaty of Tridom'Vercoadom favoured the humans greatly. It stated that the Empire of Mentpolis will forever own the island as a full human colony and the griffins must pay for the damage caused in the war. But with Griffinstone having a economic crisis, this made things worse for the Griffin people. As the humans celebrated in victory, the griffins fell into civil war, where the Anti-Royalists fought against the Thunder-Royalists for the crashing defeat at the hands of Humanity. The Kin War as it was called lasted for a decade with the Anti-Royalists led by Captain War-Skies - A griffin veteran of the Vercoadom War- successful captured Griffinstone and forced Thunder-Feather to surrender. With the king behind bars, the Royalists surrendered as well, and in a month time the King was executed for high treason against the people of Griffinstone, and thus gave rise for the Griffin Republic....But only for a short while before War-Skies declared himself Emperor and ruled over his people with an iron claw. Once War-Skies controlled all of Griffinstone and her territories, he began by making anti-human propaganda and even in secret had the human ambassador killed. This began a serious problem for Mentpolis and even Equestria, who supported the Thunder-Royalists and the two nations began secret meetings with each other about this growing threat in Griffinstone. And in 300 B.N.M, Griffinstone declared war on Equestria which caught the ponies off guard, making Trottingham and even Manehatten fall under War-Skies' banner. The Skies War as it was called raged for weeks, with lose of both griffin and ponies alike reaching to new height. Mentpolis didn't enter the war but kept a large military present in the northern regions of the Celestial Sea where the colonies of Vankin, Rackrend and Pa'cun'rawr- the most populated colonies in the northern regions- were protected in case of a griffin invasion. But this was trick, as War-Skies led a surprise attack at where the whole thing started; Tridom'Vercoadom, the island was captured along with two colonies and one military base. War-Skies sent a list of demands to Deity-Queen Sia, telling her to release control of the islands and isles captured or her people will be killed. This was the big mistake War-Skies made, for in a week time, the entire navy and armies of Mentpolis charged at the griffins, slaughtering them by the thousands. Any griffin that was still on the islands and isles were legally executed for crimes against Humanity and their heads sent to their homeland in boxes. By this time, Equestria managed to recapture their cities and began marching an army over the griffin border. They soon arrived at Rubypeck, one of major cities in Griffinstone and soon a large griffin force was charging at them. Not in defending their city...But rather running away from it. The griffins begged the ponies to save them from the monstrous assault of Humanity, who was destroying buildings and killing anything that stand in their way. Celestia and Luna was shocked at this barbaric attack, and tried to stop it. The shocking moment of the war came when a human Royal Vanguard drew his weapon at the sun princess's neck and told her that his orders was to destroy this city, no matter who's in it. The princesses knew too well not to anger their Deity-Queen, she maybe a traditional and beloved ruler of her subjects, but the result of the griffins' attempt of killing all humans on the colonies near Griffinstone, Sia demanded one thing from the griffins; Blood. A joint armies of both humans and ponies arrived at Griffinstone, they were about to attack when War-Skies himself surrendered for fear of his people's demise. The Treaty of Griffinstone was a dark moment in history. Deity-Queen Sia made it clear that the treaty will be made by humans, and the demands for peace will created by the humans and none other. The treaty was allowing a suffocating blockade of human ships to go around the Kingdom of Griffinstone for a whole decade, along with all officers in part of the war along with War-Skies to be taken to Mentpolis to be executed. The Alicorn Princesses tried to make the treaty fair for both side, but Sia would have none of it. In fact, because of the Princesses' interruption, the griffin people must also pay for the damage caused in the war as well as a tribute of most of their resources to the empire, making the griffins suffer even more. It was signed and over 43% of Griffinstone's population dropped and a new king was choose by Sia to make sure that this conflict never happens again. This showed the international community that Humanity and indeed their Divine Royalty are not meant to be angered and so no action against the treaty was taken and they too accepted it as a victory for Mentpolis. None would ever stand against Mentpolis' wishes...That was until the rise of Nightmare Moon and her banishment that made Mentpolis divided from the result.

The Great War; For 3 centuries of peace and harmony, with the last war ending with a Mentpolis victory, races of their respectable nations coexist in glory peace. Mentpolis was left alone, only getting involve with Equestrian politic as the Princesses wishes to form the old alliance again, the same alliance that was created to fight in the Black-Cutlass Rebellion. See, Celestia wanted this alliance because she'd seen what humans can do and fear that their brutal attack, the same attack during the Skies War, could led to bigger conflict that'll leave hundreds dead and thousands displaced. She also wanted to help them by showing them the way of Harmony that her people follows. But Deity-Queen Sia would have none of it, she believes in what her father taught her, her loyalty and her aid must come for her people first and only, other people are secondary. The only reason she helped the zebras was because they asked her and also Sia would see how the outside world is. Thanks to the conflicts with Minotaurs, Dragons and Griffins, Sia saw the world at people's throats and the idea of alliance would only make things worse, so she denies every time the princesses asked. However, things changes, especially a Deity-Queen. Soon, Mentpolis learnt that their queen was pregnant with triplets and the empire celebrated. This has not happened since the days of God-King Onryne, however no knew who the father was, some theories say that when Onryne's descendants is at the right age and wanted to start a family, their power within allows this to happen, for many people has never seen Onryne or Sia ever falling in love with another human and thus this theory is most acceptable. Regardless, in nine months Sia gave birth to three healthy offsprings, two sons and one daughter. The eldest was named Demi-Prince Neban, the daughter was named Demi-Princess Isla and the youngest was named Demi-Prince Sparka. Together they at important roles and learnt quickly from their mother. Neban went to become a Royal Vanguard and in four years time rose to the rank Grand Vanguard'Tai, the highest rank one can after her mother. During the four years, his siblings spent more time with their mother and went different routes. Isla learnt the political side of running an empire and ruling her people from none other than Sia herself, her teaching improve the understanding of what makes the Divine Royals important for the empire and the human race as a whole, giving Isla the title of Isla the Heir despite that Neban would be next heir if Sia passes away. As for Sparka, he learnt from his mother the culture, belief, art and history of his people, giving him the title of Sparka the Spiritual. However, Sparka did not wish to become a ruler and at a young age he joined the Cerddoriaeth to learn the ways of art, music and poem. While Neban was learning with the Vanguards and Isla having lessons with their mother, Sparka rose quickly through the creative of his brain and became Grand Composer, leader of the Cerddoriaeth. Sparka was the first of the three to achieve a high role in Mentpolis, then it was Isla and finally Neban. Over their childhood, Isla and Sparka became really close with each other, always looking after and learning from one another while Neban was hardly there and so their bond with him weren't so strong like theirs. Between them they did the most family-bonding oath called the Kin-Pact, this is a human cultural trust that many outsiders can't understand. To them it's like a marriage but to humans it means that they're the perfect match than some other wife or husband from another family but because of the same blood, they have a different way of living. For example, if a one human becomes a boss of a business, than their Kin-Pact will allow that human's sibling that made the pact also becomes the boss mean the two rule the business together. And thus, Sparka is a Grand Composer and because of his pact with his sister, Isla is also a Grand Composer despite not taking part with the Cerddoriaeth, the same goes for Isla. Almost like a marriage but only not at the same time, this is very rare and it's the ultimate sign of trust and companionship. The two learnt together and love each other as siblings, vowing to never betray or separate each other. Sadly Neban didn't join the pact, as he saw the world differently. Knowing about Equestria and their attempts to create an alliance with Mentpolis, Neban asked his mother to go to Equestria and become an ambassador for his people. Fully trained and know how to defend himself, Sia allowed her son to go to Equestria but told him to not get too attract to their lands as his loyalty and love are only for his people and empire just like hers. For many weeks, Neban had long conversations with the Princesses of Equestria as the Alicorn sisters had a bit of a family crisis about how their subjects did not spend a lot of time admiring the Princess of the Night's work. Princess Luna had private conversations with the Demi-Prince, telling him that things in Equestria weren't the same as before. This is where Neban betrayed his people as well as his mother as he started to have feelings for her, which his mother forbid him to do. Neban became more attract to the princess than his own people, and thus both felt misplaced as Neban never understood the importance of family or his people's reputation. Neban promised Luna that he'll try and make an alliance with his people with Equestria. Sadly however, just five days later, Luna turned into Nightmare Moon and was banished for a thousand years on the moon. This action sparked a political crisis in all nations, this action from the elder ruler has never happened since the Skies War and every nations fell to chaos. From the high northern regions of Equestria the yaks were forced out of their homeland much like the donkeys near Minotaurda by the largest Diamond Dog Clan Confederacy ever since, led by Warlord Barkspawn, which was called the Diamond Onslaught as both yak and donkey went to war agains Barkspawn's legions. With political chaos running wild in Equestria, Minotaurda surprisingly declare war again on their ancient foe; Zebrica. This sparked the Mino-Zebra Wars once more, it would seem that the two people will never sort themselves out when crisis runs wild. In the Dragon Lands, a revolution led by General Torch to try and overthrow the tyrant Dragon Lord Blazekin, who has been ruling for far too long and his demands were crazier by the minute. Equestria's Thestrals that are loyal to Luna openly rebelled against her sister for this betrayal, which started the Bat Pony Rebellion. To make matters worse with Equestria, Griffinstone's king became paranoid from Celestia's action, if she does this to her closest kin what will stop her from doing this to her closest ally. With fear in his heart, the griffin king declared war upon Equestria for the sake of not being banished if he does something to anger Celestia.

"In the past many would live in peace with their friends in different lands. But that's in the past, and we must defend our own future from our once good friends"- A summary that explains the Great War

This horror of many wars was round up as one big war, it was at first called The War as how massive it was. However many looked to the another side with shock that changed the name of the war....Because of what was happening in Mentpolis. Many thought that during these wars, the Empire of Mentpolis would stay out of this and be stronger than most in the aftermath. However when reports came from Mentpolis, it was so shocking that most thought it was made up by their enemies to get them off guard. But more reports came back the same, all were in surprise, shock and confusion.

Mentpolis, the homeland of Humanity....Is in a Civil War after the assassination of Deity-Queen Sia.

The public face of human culture was not their navy, military or faithful loyalty to their Divine Royals. But rather it is their unity, never once has there been a united people so dedicated to their rulers, culture and people that they would not ever fight against one another. Even the Black-Cutlass Rebellion was only because of madness not logic nor anything against their people, just they thought that the Black-Pirates should rule Trottingham as their capital. For the time of the Revolt, no human has ever turn their backs on their people. But now, they were at each other's throats, ready to spilt their kind's blood upon the grounds of their forefathers. The war began just when Bat Pony Rebellion rose in Equestria, when Demi-Prince Neban returned to Mentpolis, angered by Luna's banishment by her elder sister. With rage in his heart, Neban requested his mother to go to war, to bring Equestria to her knees and bring back the princess of the night, now Nightmare Moon. However Sia would have nothing to do with the political issues raging across the world, claiming that this is why Humanity must never joined sides;

"My son, this is what I have told you about the other races. Their ways are but warlike and tyrannical, from the Revolt to the end of the Skies War, the races of outer Mentpolis favour blood than honour, favour power than respect and worse they favour obedience than loyalty. So my son, never put your loyalty towards anything that's not your own kind, for they will use you just like the time of the Black-Cutlass Rebellion where the same princesses tried to make us loyal to them rather than our own subjects. Put down this foolish crusade of yours, and let the outer races fight one another. We will live in peace and one day... You'll thank me because our neutrality"- Deity-Queen Sia explaining to Demi-Prince Neban on her thoughts about the Great War

Unfortunately for Sia, Neban did not see the way their people. All Neban cared for was vengeance and blood against Equestria. And so when Sia turned her back on her son....Neban's Sword went right through his mother's heart, killing her where she stood. This act made the Royal Vanguards, who are not supposed to show emotions, gasped in horror and shock. Neban took the crown of his mother and her father before her, and placed on his head proclaiming himself the new God-King of the Empire of Mentpolis. Many of the Vanguards obeyed their new God-King, while only a handful of five Vanguards left to report this to Demi-Princess Isla and Demi-Prince Sparka. Isla wept with the lost of her mother and mentor as she was embraced by a vengeful Sparka.

"So brother Neban believes he can rule the empire after this traitorous act?! Vanguards, rally Humanity, We have another Black-Cutlass Rebellion! And sound the Songs of Onryne's Wrath, so all can hear that he too can bring justice upon our 'brother's' head!"- Sparka's response to Neban's Assassination of Deity-Queen Sia

The empire of Mentpolis was divided into two opposing factions; The Champions of Neban, those who believes in this new leadership and the incoming war against Equestria. And Sia's Chaplains of Onryne, those who follows Isla and Sparka as well as Neban killing his mother was seen as the reincarnation Black-Cutlass and another Black-Cutlass Rebellion. The Mentpish Bloodshed or the Human Civil War as it was commonly known was the reason this era was known as the The Great War. As every civilisation and continent was in conflict, no place was safe for refugees as thousands of lives were thrown towards the engines of War. Lands of Wyrt−ruma, Irthir-Naam, the capital of Unornlic and the colonies in the north of the Celestial Sea placed their support to God-King Neban, whereas Caesin, Vignari and the colonies in the south, east and west of the Celestial Sea gave their loyalty to Princess Isla and Prince Sparka. The Champions had more soldiers and generals where the Chaplains had the Vanguards and more ships in the sea. Sparka ordered the navy to blockade Champion territories while also ordering an invasion force to recapture the northern colonies. Isla led the ground forces as they marched towards Irthir-Naam as well as try their best to defend Caesin from the larger armies of Neban. The famous Siege of Caesin lasted for 5 years, by this time the revolution in the Dragon Lands came to an end with Blazekin overthrown and exiled. Although the Champion's armies were larger, the Chaplains did not give in as they believed that this betrayal to Deity-Queen Sia was the same like Black-Cutlass's.

'"everyday was a battle in Caesin. The inhuman traitors' onslaughts were endless, you may win a battle in a village but then you are called in as a city nearby was being attacked. There was no silence in Caesin, only the screams of orders, the clashes of steel and the roars of war. Once we'd won this war, I think I would like to live on one of the colonies in the east, because this Caesin is not the Caesin I grew up in"- Captain Balephin of Sia's Chaplains of Onryne

"I looked upon a city held by the rebels as my forces fell back to regroup and attack again later. How they defy against God-King Neban rightful rule and still sleep at night puzzles me. I hope we capture Caesin, for I've loved the smell of the food there and maybe one day I'll have a slice of Mor'gel Pie'- General Pharacn of the Champions of Neban

Isla's forces attacked Irthir-Naam carefully as it was the closest province to the capital where her brother watches over the island. She may not be the best general, but she did know of the people of Irthir-Naam and how their lives worked. After all, this is the land where politics runs free and she was taught by her mother to remember that words are more deadlier than swords here. Her armies did attack cities like Thrkan and Pjntik and battles like the Battle of Last'Daen and Rhikoul. But her biggest achievement was gaining another ally, an ally which helped her in her conquest of Irthir-Naam; the Healf-Môdsefa. The Healf-Môdsefa tried to stay out of the war, but with the Siege of Caesin wasting warriors, Neban demanded that they help him in his war. When they refused, Neban ordered a task force to bring them down and force them to ally with the Champions. Easier said then done as the brutal conflicts in the mountains costed a lot of lives lost to fight against the clans. When Isla arrived at the mountains and heard about the Healf-Môdsefa, she went to the clans on her own and convinced the clans to join her. She promised them that their ways will be protected and their mountains are still their homes. Her words sounded more like an oath, the same voice like her mother's with the words of her grandfather, she managed to make a race so isolated that they agreed with her. Soon enough, the high chieftain of the Healf-Môdsefa Clans stepped forward towards Isla and kneeled before her;

'I, High Chieftain Ava'yorn of the Healf-Môdsefa Clans, gives his people's loyalty to Demi-Princess Isla, daughter of Sia, daughter of Onryne! May her guidance help the Healf-Môdsefa as our strength help her in dire times and may her leadership stop the influence of the evil Neban the Malsvir as our wrath breaks his bones! We shall stand by her side till the sky falls and the land turns black!'- High Chieftain Ava'yorn oath of loyalty to Isla

With the Healf-Môdsefa Clans joining the Chaplains, Irthir-Naam was retaken which was a blow to the Champions. In this time, the Diamond Onslaught was crushed and the diamond dogs was in full retreat after the death of Warlord Barkspawn. Not much is known of Sparka's conquest of the northern colonies as the main battles was taken place in Mentpolis. Only poems written by him explained how the war on the sea was going. Details of large navy battles, landing on the colonies and the music of Sparka inspiring his men to war.

'The sea is the field
The ships the weapons I wield.
From the small colony of Palearth
We sailed towards ours or the enemy's death.
Brothers fighting brothers
Sisters against sisters.
Sons against fathers
Daughters against mothers.
Let the Mentpish Bloodshed end now and forever'- Battle in Northern Waters, written by Sparka

However in 7 years, by then the Bat Pony Rebellion was crushed and the Griffins wishing for peace, only Wyrt−ruma and Unornlic were left under the control of the Champions of Neban. With Isla's forces and her Healf-Môdsefa allies attack both eastern and western of Wyrt−ruma, Sparka's navy attacked in the north, landing many warriors on the port cities of Qumado, Laq and Inglata'Ve. The Champions were forced to remain in defending what they already had under their control, as they awaited for orders from their God-King. However, Neban abandoned his forces in favour of keeping Unornlic under his rule. What followed was the biggest loss to the Champions; their loyalty. Their leader abandoned them, they were left to fight on their own with the full might of the Sia's Chaplains of Onryne and many of their generals were captured which left the Champions orderless and unorganised. Those champions in Wyrt−ruma, enrage by this betrayal, soon changed side and made their oath of loyalty to Sia and Sparka, which made Neban lose 78% of his forces. With the remnant of the Champions at Unornlic, the rest of Mentpolis and her colonies were under Sia's Chaplains of Onryne control. On third day before Hearth's Warming Eve, Isla and Sparka made the plan for the infamous and well rememberable event in the war; The Siege of Unornlic.

"It was a snowy night, the blizzards came five weeks early than normal. A sign of bad luck or blessing in disguise, I do not know. My loyal brethren were preparing for the attack, the Healf-Môdsefa reinforcements arrived to add more beings to the attack. And I'm looking at our mother's home, our home, and knowing that this was the place it began and will finish with steel and roars of war. My brother keeps telling me that this is what our mother would want. Would she? Would she attack her own home and might have to kill her own son? I do not know if I can do this. Sparka maybe more spiritual and faithful to our people's beliefs, culture and traditions, but sometimes he scares me at how he wants to bring Neban to justice. Then again our mother taught us to keep our loyalty to our people alone....And I can see why. Without the royals our subjects would do this kind of chaos again, twice as large and more insane than the time of Captain Black-Cutlass. Without our guidance and power they wouldn't of survive the Revolt and live to see a free Mentpolis. I know what I must do, the only thing I question....Is that will I be able to do it willingly?"- Isla thoughts before The Siege of Unornlic

The Siege of Unornlic was a cold battle and not because of the blizzards that raged throughout the siege. As siege towers attaches on the walls, the battering-ram breaking down the gates and streets and walls filled with warriors fighting for or against their God-King, a battalion of Vanguards escorted Demi-Princess Isla and Demi-Prince Sparka to the castle where their brother was no doubt watching the battle from the throne room. It was say that Neban over the course of the war went more zealous and more mad by the fact that his own people has turned their back at him in favour of their previous Deity-Queen and her other children. When Isla and Sparka arrived at the throne room, the two wished for Neban to step down as God-King, but Neban they knew was gone and replaced with a power mad Demon-Tyrant;

"You! The lesser spawns of Sia! You dare talk to your God-King as if he is but a child in the warring world?! Your blood is unworthy to take the throne of Onryne, the God-King of Humanity and Creator of this great empire! Your heads will be put on spikes so that all of Mentpolis will know who's the true ruler of this empire and who was the traitors! Join the weak Sia in the underworld, Isla the wench and Sparka the Siren!"- God-King Neban outburst during the Siege of Unornlic

In the throne room of Onrynner, the three children of Sia, daughter of Onryne, did battle one another for the rule of Mentpolis. Neban was the best fighter being trained as a Vanguard. But in his mad state, Isla and Sparka began to see weak points and noticed that their elder brother was making mistakes in his battle. The battle lasted for seven minutes before finally they defeated Neban with their respectable weapons landing the fatal blow into the heart of the mad brother. With Neban dead, the remaining Champions surrendered and Unornlic was captured, ending in a victory for the Sia's Chaplains of Onryne. The war ended on the third day before Hearth's Warming Eve, the following month the Mino-Zebra Wars ended as well. The Great War Era ended with victors and losers, and with much healing to do. On the twenty ninth day, Isla was proclaimed the new Deity-Queen and with her Kin-Pact, Sparka was also proclaimed the new God-King as the two siblings sat on their thrones as their chaplains and Vanguards knelt before them. For humanity, this era was called the Rise of the Two Rulers, meaning that over the years there has never been two co-rulers of Mentpolis nor a God-King or a Deity-Queen sitting side by side as they rebuilt their mother's and their grandfather's homeland. When Deity-Queen Isla wanted to make a public speech about the Mentpish Bloodshed, she had the help of her brother and created the Silver Speech of Isla. A speech that united a war torn people;

Brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers. Over the past years we'd fought one another over who should rule the throne of Onryne, like as wolves fought to be alpha of a pack. For some they've got their wish, for others they've lost a dream. And for many more, they have lost someone, some of us has killed a being we'd grew up with, grew close with, grew fondly with. Some of us will never forget the sounds of war or the silence it brings afterward, other will not forget the reasons they fought, and all will remember where they were when Unornlic was besieged and attacked.

But my people, do not fall to hatred for the those who disagreed with you. Do not let your sadness dictate your mind on who to release your sadness on. Do not allow your anger to command you as if you were a slave and it the master. You are human, just like the other on the opposite side of a field or the sea or the mountain. You are the empire, just like the other who raised a different banner than yours. You are Mentpolis, just like the other who slept under the common night. But most of all, you are Onryne, just like the other who led something like the Revolt on those who wanted their homeland freed. You are you, just like the other.

As your Deity-Queen begs and your God-King cries, we plead that you don't turn your back on yourselves nor on the one who disagreed with you. For if we did, Sia's and Onryne's deaths were for nothing but fun. Please, be the people she and he remembered fighting for and be the people that they gave their loyalty to, just like we will do for you"- The Silver Speech by Deity-Queen Isla and God-King Sparka

With this speech, many humans recovered and grew more inspired and forgave those who sided with the Champions of Neban. After rebuilding and clearing up the mess of the Mentpish Bloodshed, Deity-Queen Isla and God-King Sparka sent out more ambassadors across most of the kingdoms, telling them about their civil war. However, Ambassador Daron was sent to Equestria and told Princess Celestia that his Divine-Rulers wanted a meeting with her to discuss their relationship between their peoples. Celestia, although sadden by her sister's banishment and the wars she had to face on her own, was glad to hear this new change. She wasn't happy of Sia's death, far from it, but now she could try and open better relations with the empire and hopefully rebuild the alliance that had during the Black-Cutlass Rebellion. In the following week, Celestia arrived at Taouli, the city of embassies, in Irthir-Naam where the three royals discussed between one another. Celestia played it carefully, after all she hasn't met Isla and Sparka, so she doesn't how they act and what might anger them. She once again asked if there was a way of recreating the old alliance with Equestria, hoping that she could teach the humans the way of harmony and not worrying about another Skies War Treaty like their mother enforced. However, either of the Divine-Rulers wanted the alliance and Isla explained why;

"Princess Celestia. For over the years our kind interacts with yours, we've seen more harm than good if we ally with Equestria. You keep on saying that the way of harmony would help Humanity know peace, but we've known peace since the final days of the Revolt. It is you and your kind along with the other outer races that needs to know of peace. From the Revolt, to the Vercoadom War. To the Skies War to the Great War, the world is in darkness and Mentpolis is but a candle to it. Wars after wars outer Mentpolis has never known peace until now, but for how long we do not know. Perhaps this Way of Harmony does work very well for your own people. Perhaps you should learn the Way of Onryne, so far humanity has lived in peace for centuries, not worrying about war unless it is needed. So why don't we want an alliance? Because it would only bring more wars than the world needs. That idea brought my and God-King Sparka's eldest brother mad and brought forth the Mentpish Bloodshed which killed thousands of humans over the idea of an alliance with Equestria, over the fact that he murdered our mother, over the horror that he became a Black-Cutlass! So no Princess Celestia, we don't want an alliance for we want peace not war. Maybe when you learnt the Way of Onryne will understand, we will be close friends with Equestria but we won't enter her wars. We will live in peace and one day... You'll thank us because our neutrality"- Deity-Queen Isla's thoughts of the alliance with Equestria

Morden Day; To this day, the Empire of Mentpolis has remained good friends with the outside world and still keeps their neutrality in international politics thanks to their Divine-Rulers. Deity-Queen Isla has improved the lives of her subjects, her colonies and her relation with her people. God-King Sparka has made his people more national, more cultural, musical and helped many generations learn about their people's history, culture and why it is important to stay united. They do go to meetings with the outside, they visited Equestria during Hearth's Warming Eve and Celestia and Luna visited Mentpolis for the celebrations of Onryne's Victory and the Ending of the Bloodshed- Holidays of the human race- as well as visited Zebrica and Minotaurda to keep their great relationships great. For the human race, they adventure beyond Mentpolis and her colonies, visiting almost all the lands as blacksmiths, chefs, teachers and warriors.

Sub-factions;

The Black-Cutlass Pirates; Even though Captain Black-Cutlass fled to what's now known as Ogelend Dominion, the Black-Cutlass Pirates still hunts the Celestial Sea, kidnapping people of all races, selling illegal and stolen items and continues to do horrid criminal acts, sometimes they're found on other lands like Equestria, Griffinstone and so far into Zebrica. They're considered the opposite of the humans in the empire. Brutal, honourless, cruel. Anyone can joined the Black-Cutlass Pirates, however their joining is brutal though. One must sell their family members into slavery or kill them and bring their heads as tribute to Ogelend -Who is still alive thanks to his cutlass- to be able to join them. Their capital is believed to be an island populated with pirates, cutthroats, thugs and black marketeers. It is also believed to have Sierns living there as they formed a strange pact with the Ogelend that they help the Black Pirates with their raiding and crimes. Ogelend is known as the Overlord of the Cutlass and rule over the island with an iron fist, his words are law to the pirates. None challenge the overlord and those who do are never heard of again.

The Healf-Môdsefa Clans; Healf-Môdsefa are members of the human race with dragon aspects. Half-Bornes are only seen in the mountains of Irthir-Naam. They prefer to be left alone in their homes but do venture out into Mentpolis and although rarely even so far as Equestria. They live in clans but all under the rule of a high chieftain who governs the clans. There are four clans, each with their own culture. The Forth-Raw Clan are seen as the most calm of other clans. They live to hunt the local wildlife and are also more human as they like to understand their human cousins, which is also why they are most likely Half-Bornes to join the army or live in human cities as they wish to know more about their homeland. The Frost-Grin Clan are the most dominate clan of Healf-Môdsefa. They are seen as the powerful clan as well as the most coldness by emotions. They are a wavy people, even since the Bloodshed they have some concerns with humans. Yet they are furiously loyal and will fight to the death for those they have named friend, Half-Bornes, humans or otherwise. The Iron-Bone Clan are the most human in appearance yet acts more like their dragon cousins. They'll have hordes of treasures in their clan and have a strange obsession with fire which they see as their birthright to wield. They are only seen in the mountains and are very rarely seen beyond the borders of their clan's territory which is unknown why they don't venture outside like their Half-Borne cousins. Finally the Fang-Blood Clan or the Outcast-Kin Clan to the Healf-Môdsefa. These Half-Bornes are considered to their kind as the Black-Cutlass to the empire, violent and unreasonable and mad. It is unknown how these Half-Bornes know how to create their own weaponry and armour as their mind only thinks about eat, mate and sleep. They worship nothing but blood and are always fighting one another. Luckily for the Healf-Môdsefa and humans alike, they are the smallest of the clans and don't like to interact with other races that are not their own, which is why they are so isolated from the rest of world.

Hope you liked this civilisation, it took longer than it should have.
