I say that'd be pretty interesting! I was actually talking about this with VampDash, we came up with this:

Chrysalis has dominated Ponyville as well as Whitetale Wood, NM rules Everfree and Rambling Rock Ridge, Sombra holds the most control over the Frozen North and several smaller areas across Equestria, with Celestia still in control of Canterlot but just barely holding off the opposing forces.

Fluttershy is with Zecora's rebellion, Pinkie Pie is with Celestia's army, Applejack is working in a factory in Manehattan, RD is a double agent within NM's forces, Rarity is forced by NM to make special armor for the war.

...I meant a FOLDER for stories which crossed the timeline over. Which isn't to say your idea is bad, it's just not what I was talking about.

It's come to my attention that some stories speculate on the creation of other timelines beyond the ones we see in the show. It might behoove us to add a folder for "Extra Timelines". Even if it's for things like this.
