a thought struck me, there might not be any Kayn Ost, this being is just a facade Nightshade is using to get more crystals. which i have suspicions might be mined in ponyville, which would explain why the shadowbolts tried to destroy it, to have open mining of the site, and they are disposing of the wopnderbolts because they stopped them the first time and nightshade has a grudge. speculation at this point though

Kayn Ost order the Shadowbolts to destroy Ponyville so as to scatter the Bearers of Harmony cause they're strong when together and powerless when they're separated and thus for anyone who has their eyes on conquring Equestria or bringing it to ruin the bearers posed a significant threat to their goals
