4697236 My headcanon is that they died in a tragic barn fire while Applejack and Big Mac were still young and Applebloom was still an infant. The tragedy was so impacting on the young Appleajack and Big Mac that Big Mac was scarred enough to all but cease speaking. Also impacted Applejack's decision to leave to the city. To flee the memories. Applebloom has no clue, as she was so young at the time.
