Federal Ban on Medical Marijuana Lifted

Thing is, it wasn't as if the federal government was cracking down on medical weed in states that allowed it. This effectively does nothing, except ensure this won't change in the future (unless the law is overturned, which could still happen.) It's also medicinal, meaning you still can't just light up without a doctor writing you a prescription.

On a symbolic standpoint, though, it's a step forward. The iron grip of cannabis prohibition is weakening.
