Why not just say something like... They're different parts of the void? The void is coded in shadows or whatever right? So why not say that there's different parts of void testing different systems, with some overlap. Yknow, seeing what void build works best. Like an Apple computer working with a Windows computer. They can connect but still be separate that way.

So, I was forced persuaded to come back here to give my opinion on the lore.

I think you both have some unique and interesting ideas, but the idea of displacers working for some higher powers towards a common goal or purpose really appeals to me.

I'm gonna have to give my vote for this one, though I highly recommend using elements from both of these lore pieces as the final product.
